This fit my needs perfectly! I needed to make sure a door would close so the dog would my get out. It closes smoothly and quietly, had several options for close strength and was really easy to adjust. The instructions to adjust aren’t great but it is not hard to figure out. Just turn it clockwise with the provided Allen wrench and use the long pin to insert in an exposed hole and test, repeat until it is strong enough to close and then replace the long pin with the short one and done. Literally took me 5 minutes with 1 person to help hold the hinge in position until I got the first screw started. It is possible on very close fitting doors it could be too thick as it is well made and thicker than cheap hinges but I had plenty of clearance. I used just the 1 on a standard bedroom door to replace the middle hinge and it works great. If you need to leave the door open you will need to use a door stop as there is no “off” feature.

The media could not be loaded. I bought these to replace the hinges on my front door after my kid accidentally didn't close the door all the way and my dogs got loose. They came on time and instructions were printed on the box. They are thicker than my regular hinges, so like others have said I had to use a chisel to make the spaces deeper so the door would close properly. However, once I did that it was smooth sailing! They are super easy to adjust, and once I put the tension on all 3, it closes my front door beautifully without being super hard to open. I'm so excited I was able to install these myself in about 30 min (would have been 10 min of I had a router!)I would definitely recommend these to anyone wanting to create a self-closing door without installing one of those bulky above door hydraulic things!

Worked well at replacing a few hinges where I wanted to ensure the doors remained closed in my house. Installation was SUPER quick and easy. (Seriously less than 5 min a hinge).The internal spring feels super powerful when winding it up too, however I found in order to really close the door, it took 2x hinges per door. (Not just one). This obviously doubled the price. (And this lowered the score). And I’m talking hollow wooden doors with zero door-jamb contact. A single hinge just doesn’t have the power to always ensure closure.Would I purchase again: probablySolid construction: yesValue: 4x stars (just because a single one won’t do the job alone).

These closing hinges work perfectly. They were cheap and arrived in a day. What is not to like?I swapped the center hinge out on an interior bathroom door and it is strong enough to pull the door shut but not too strong to slam it shut. That is exactly what I was intending.It is no exaggeration that it took 5 minutes to replace the old hinge and set the tension.Each hinge has 4 tension settings. You can chose to use one or all three hinges depending on the weight of the door.

Since you can only apply tension to the spring turning it clockwise, these hinges will not work on a door with the hinges on the right side and it pulls towards you on the left side. It would have been necessary to remount the hinges by cutting into the door frame, and molding.My first order only had one of three hinges, and no hardware.They make screeching noise, so it'll be necessary to lubricate them so they stop making noise.If you apply tension to the spring turning it counterclockwise, the hinge will bind up and not work.Other than that, they seem to be well made, good heavy solid metal

These are very hefty hinges. I have a very tall french door between the hallway and the kitchen/family room. I go through the door quite often and almost always forget to close the door - which apparently drive my wife nuts. So I figured there's gotta be a solution to this and found these hinges. This door has 4 hinges total, and I found just replacing one does the trick. It is very easy to install. I think the hinge plates are a tad thicker than the regular hinges, and the screws that came with it actually prevented the door to close fully. So i ended up using the smaller screws used for the original hinges and that solved the problem. Should've installed these long time ago.
