Pretty good
The media could not be loaded. Bought the 1300 lbs one and then the rollers and the c channel and it works really good you can slide it to the side of the barn ur working on and use it the power cord could be alittle longer it’s 6 foot long but it works good for the way I have it set up the cord for the buttons are perfect length to move around and use it only problems I have with the hoist is that the control box on the hoist is alittle weak we had it role around in the side by side and it broke off but we fixed it so that and then the safety switch when the winch is going up will sometimes go through that little bracket so you gotta watch that if ur wanting to go all the way up with it but who really goes that high with it , I would definitely buy again

Prefer the wired version
The media could not be loaded. Winch works great. I found that I prefer the version with the cord for two reasons: in the remote control version, it takes AA batteries and they are behind a compartment with multiple screws on the remote control. In a hot garage I would worry about the batteries leaking. Also, if the remote gets lost or damaged then you have no way of operating the winch. While this version is less convenient with the cord, I just added a hook on the remote control to hang it up. Make sure to use a heavy duty steel square tube to hang the winch on. I used 1-¼” square stock with an ⅛ “ wall thickness. I would not recommend using a pipe because when you turn the winch on and off, there is quite a bit of torque so that would cause the unit to swing unnecessarily.

low cost lifting
My main take away from this hoist is that its cheap. At under the $200 mark, it comes as no surprise that the construction is questionable. The duty cycle alone will tell you all you need to know. Pros: I was able to lift a 450 lb equipment rack by myself. Wireless remote works, installation was easy. Cons: yeah, it is very cheaply built, I would not stand anywhere near it when lifting something (which makes the 300 foot range of the wireless remote particularly attractive). The snatch hook (which must be used to get the advertised maximum lift capacity) is garbage. I replaced it with a real one before lifting anything. Can't really complain about the instructions being poor as there were none to speak of, but my biggest concern is there is no cable guide for the drum. Just a couple runs up and down will bunch the cable to one side of the drum and will eventually get kinked from binding if you are not careful. All in all, if you can't shell out 2k for a real chain hoist, and you only need something to do occasional lifting, this will work fine (as long as it shows up in once piece from extremely poor packaging) My model was rated at 1320lbs but I would not dare more than 800lbs.

A great low cost option
Used this as a gantry crane in the hay loft of my barn using the bearing/wheels attachment and unistrut. It was less than $400 for a functioning gantry crane. Very happy with its capacity so far.

Heavy duty
Although many of the hoists look similar they aren’t.This Velcro hoist was heavier duty than the Partssim hoist I first purchased and then returned. For instance it had a hezbiet motor and the support bracket were steel instead of aluminum. They were also big enough to straddle a standard 1.5” truss. The first other support brackets couldn’t do this. This one also had a 14’ Cory on the control which was necessary for my application. All I. All I am satisfied with this hoist and also it’s lower price for a heavier duty hoist.

Great unit works perfectly
I mounted it in my attic. I built a sled for my attic stairs on a wooden track. Getting older and don’t want to climb lifting Christmas decorations in and out of attic. One person in attic other in garage and we load and hoist the sled and decorations up or down. So much nicer than hauling it all up and down. And I can disconnect and use in the shop.

Control cable too short
Worked well just can’t lift the things I need lifted because the control cable is too short and I can’t stand over the objects to lift. Go wireless!

Satisfied, work according to description
Work fine for my use. I attached it to a pickup crane bolted to my roof, allow me to lift all the material for re-roofing. At first I tough it might be annoyingly slow but turn out to be very adequate for a 40' lift. Did not test its power but can lift a person without much apparent effort. I did re-tighten the fastener as they were a bit loose. Also checked inside the electrical box and connection looked fairly well made.

2nd winch arrived broken
1st winch did not work after a couple test runs. 2nd winch arrived broken. I was able to make one winch work out of the 2. but what a pain.also the control cord is very short.
