Bad quality fit is not as stated
One of the three plastic pins on the back, broke within seconds of trying to put it in the hole on the back of the sink. I have measured the hole upfront it’s 2,5 cm as it should fit stated on the details and box. However it doesn’t fit and the quality is poor. In the picture you see that it seems to fit, but it’s unstable and doesn’t fully close the hole.

Minding the gap
Works well on sinks with a one-inch round overflow hole, in particular if you have a mixer tap in the middle and so water may dribble down the hole and stop air escaping when you are trying to let water out of the basin down the plug hole. The firm plastic prongs at the back squeeze together slightly for a secure fit, leaving a 4 mm gap behind the cover for any overflowing water to escape, but without any looseness or wobbling.
