As we all know, or I hope we all know, the correct pressure for making espresso is 30lb meaning that 70lb of pressure on a tamper is a little too much.Yes this tamper is actually accurate with the whole 30-70lb as I kinda measured it myself and it is accurate, the major flaw is just that tho.I have a barista express and it fits perfect on my portafilter but how I wish the tamper was just a 30lb spring instead of "30-70lb" you have to stop exactly and as soon as the spring slightly moves down to get the right pressure. I seriously thought it was 2 different points of pressures when I first saw this and bought it, like the first spring is 30 lbs exactly which stops the pressure and if you press harder at a certain point it clicks to 70lb instead of a literal 30-70lb....I hope I'm making sense.So that's why my review is 2 stars.The pros? Well the additions that comes with it, the rag, spoon, and rubber mat have been used significantly but the whole point of this product is the tamper. Without the tamper with perfect lb it's just another useless idea :( I hope the seller sees this and replaces my tamper with a 30lb spring only. Foot now, I'll have to stop the tamper at 30-40lb of pressure since it is never a perfect stop lol

It's not spring activated and its hard to use very strong muscles are needed to use it not worth it buy something else

I use it predominantly for a 2 shot load of ground coffee beans, the spring loading gives good feedback as a a way of judging pressure without using a scale. Make sure you need 51mm. This is tricky to measure and you need to get it right on, but if you have it sized right it works great.
