What did I use this product for?2022 Honda Ruckus Stock 7g roller replacement.My riding routes vary. Some are stop and go if I go into downtown and some are long stretches, if I go to the suburbs to visit family and friends. Based on this mixture the review I am giving is very balanced. The elevation of road I ride is also very balanced with lots of uphill, downhill, and flats.What did I like?I did like the shipping time on this item, ordered November 8th and they arrived November 18th. Expected arrival was November 24th.The color of the rollers is visually appealing. Cool 90's style.What did I dislike?Performance:Brand new 0km/0miles with stock 7g rollers I was able to hit 68km/hr | 42.3miles/hr. My friend 6'2 210lbs was able to hit the same speed on his 2022 Honda Ruckus brand new, we purchased the same day.At 4897km | 3043miles with stock 7g rollers I was able to hit 61km/hr | 37.9miles/hr. My acceleration was quite good, however on some hills I desired more consistent powerband so I purchased these rollers at 6g.At 4897km rollers were changed from HONDA to GLIXAL (top speed 63km/hr | 39.1miles/hr).Immediately after replacing my old worn rollers I noticed a substantial power decrease with dead stop acceleration. It felt like there was not enough resistance/weight.After going for a test ride I was disappointed thoroughly. I took my usual routes and compared my speeds on flats, inclines, and declines compared to the stock rollers I had when new and when worn.The stock Honda 7g rollers when new outperformed these rollers in every measure possible, acceleration, flats, downhill, uphill, and top speed.The stock Honda 7g rollers when worn after 4897km | 3043miles outperformed these rollers in every measure possible EXCEPT top speed and downhill.This was also confirmed going for a ride with my friend who had GLIXAL 6g rollers and I having HONDA 7g stock rollers on some long flats, accelerating from a dead stop, downhill, uphill, and top speed run.Final Thoughts:Initially Honda used 9g rollers on the Ruckus when first released in 2002 had a rev limit of 8000rpm.Then Honda switched to 8g rollers on the Ruckus late 2000's and had a rev limit of 8000rpm.Late 2010's Honda changed to 7g rollers on the Ruckus and increased the rev limit to 8900rpm.The majority of feedback I have read on forums regarding the Honda Ruckus and 6g rollers were from posts pre 2010's. It could be the old setup of the Ruckus where these modifications worked best.With the increase in rev limiter by 900rpm it seems the Ruckus is able to handle go a bit faster stock and handle a heavier weigh than 6g (7g stock).ADDING AIR TO MY TIRES (Front 28psi | Rear 33psi ) gave me better acceleration than adding these rollers to my 2022 Honda Ruckus.I would NOT recommend these rollers to anybody riding a 2018+ Honda Ruckus. You are better off getting stock 7g rollers OR 6.5g rollers.*Remember, the worn rollers in the attached pictures were outperforming these rollers in almost every measure. 3km | 1.8miles difference in top speed only attained on a downhill.

Got myself a 2022 Honda Ruckus and noticed it was lacking low end RPMs, I'm a big rider 6'4 280 lbs so figured I could benefit from lighter weights. Put the 5 gram weights in and the Honda feels like it has a constant power band but does lack a bit on the high end even on longer stretches. I went from 40 to 35-36 mph going from the Stock Honda 7 Gram weights (confirmed on scale) to the 5 gram weights.I'll be ordering 6 gram weights and that should solve it. The 5 grams are good if your a city cruiser they will make your ruckus have a way more constant power band.Remember, depending on your weight and what type of riding you do (flat roads, city, long curvy hilly roads) you will need to experiment with different weights. I do not suggest mix-matching or cross-mixing weights because your Variator will not be opening/closing as smooth and that can cause vibrations or belt issues that aren't fun. You want a smooth ride so just if you got the stock weights buy the 5 & 6 gram packs and see which ones work for you.I will say the 5 gram vs the 7 gram make the honda have constant revvs almost and your take off is way way faster but the speed itself takes a little longer to get there. The 6 gram for my size & style of riding should get me 40 mph again and also add a little bottom end compared to the stock 7 grams.

Originally bought 6g rollers to replace the worn stock rollers, turns out they were too heavy resulting in piddling acceleration, not good for my hometown where there are hills and wind to fight against. Purchased 5g weights, now my power curve is back to what it was with stock, possibly a bit better.My only concern is durability and quality of the product. The first batch was fine after a month or so of intermittent use, but one of my rollers in the second batch came with a slight crack in the outer shell. Doesn't affect performance as of now, but with crankcase friction and heat I'm fairly certain it's going to become a problem down the road. I'm knocking off a star for that. Still, the rollers are fairly cheap and they ship quickly, and one of the few options that doesn't involve buying a complete variator rebuild kit to go with the rollers.Again, if you're looking for a straight swap make sure you purchase the same weight rollers that you have alreaddy. I had to weigh my stock rollers on an electric scale and that lead me to buy the 6g weights which were too heavy (I thought the stock rollers were 6g that had been worn down, turns out they were probably 5.5g and I misjudged). If you want to try to tune your bike for better performance, remember that lighter rollers engage at higher RPM's, this gives you more time in "low gear" for acceleration but a lower top speed in "high gear". Heavier weights engage at lower RPM's which means you will have less power when accelerating, but if you can get it to higher speed you can maintain that speed easier. With the 6g I could get up to 50 mph at the end of a downhill slope but on flat roads it struggled to get to 30. With the 5g I can get to 30 easily but can't really go above 40.

I put theses high performance racing variator rolller weight in my 2014 Tao Tao 50cc with a 80cc big bore kit. I normal use 4.0 gram rollers or 4.5 gram roller I love the quick take of speed. However, hitting my top spend 50 mph can be easy if the wind is not heavy. But, sadly the speed goes back down to 45mph. When I use the 4.0 and 4.5 rollers. But, the moped still keep up with traffic pretty good. Using the 5.0 rolllers my take off is slower. However, when it pick up spend and hit my top speed of 50 mph. I can stay in that top spend for 10 to 30 minutes depending on the wind. The moped ride little more smoother . The gears adjust a little bite better. I just hate the slower take off. But, the top speed of 50 mph is cool. Decent rollers you get what you pay for. I'm going change them out. Soon or later, in put in my new 4.0 gram rollers. However, the rollers are decent quality. Seen like they will last me 4 to 6 months. I'm happy with what i got.

They're surprisingly well made roller weights. I weighed each of the 6 of them. They were all within a half gram of each other which is negligible. I ordered the 5g weights which worked well with the 1200rpm clutch spring set. It gives me a smooth acceleration and guarantees the trans will get Me to its terminal speed.Springs and weights can be adjusted to give a hard or smooth acceleration, from maximum economy to popping wheelies, but there is always a con for every pro. Neither will increase the scooters top speed, just how fast you get there.
