Peace ...
...with just the right amount of sound.I use these ear plugs when I ride my DR650SE.Earplugs are a personal thing; read the reviews and you'll find them all over the place for the many makes of earplugs offered. After having spent 34 years as a commercial pilot I know a thing or two about "on-the-job" noise. I can still hear very well ...and I want to keep it that way. So when I picked up riding motorcycles again in retirement, I knew after one ride, I was gonna need some "aural attenuation".Doing some research and personal trial and error, the most important aspect of the proper functioning of earplugs is how they *fit* in your ear canal. Don't assume because you're a "big guy" you have big ear canals ...or vice versa. Or that because a size "medium" is quoted as fitting most people that you are "most people". And, your ear canals might not be a matched set; not out of the realm of possible to have one side be a small and the other a medium. I figured my ear canals were fairly small because I have consistent trouble inserting and keeping in place the spongy, crush-to-fit, foam style earplugs. I would say dialing in the correct size for your earplugs is the hardest, but most important, aspect of wearing them and having them work effectively.Earpeace makes large, medium and small sizes; they come one size per kit. They do give you three earplugs in each kit in case you lose one ...a smart idea. Also smart was the nice aluminum key chain carry case. The actual audio filter is a small plastic insert that goes into the soft surround of the earplug. The Earpeace earplugs come with three sets of filters. You can go from less to more attenuation by swapping out the factory installed filters. And Earpeace gives you three filters per set so you have a spare filter in case you lose one; they *are* small and they *are* easy to drop and have disappear. So far I've stuck with the factory installed filters.A big point about these earplugs; they don't equally block all frequencies of sound. These modern earplugs are audio filters; they attenuate the harmful sound frequencies (like wind noise in your helmet) and attenuate less the less harmful sound frequencies (like the human voice or the sounds of the engine). So if you're used to the equally attenuating soft foamy earplugs, then these audio filter earplugs might sound a bit loud or noisy. The filters do seem to work as I can easily hear someone talking to me and I can respond in a normal level voice. I can hear other vehicles on the road to include emergency vehicles. But the roar of wind noise in my helmet is just about gone. For me, the Earpeace small earplugs fit perfect; my hunch was right. There is a knack to getting the earplugs properly inserted; you don't just jam them in your ears. Read the instructions and practice a bit. I know the earplugs are inserted correctly when I can gently pull on the small removal tabs and the earplugs stay put. One of the important points on earplugs in general are the small removal tabs. The ones on the Earpeace are right-sized and easy to grab with your bare thumb and forefinger; but you need to make sure you put them in correctly. As long as you can grab the tabs, the earplugs come out easily. Another major benefit of proper fit is comfort. With the Earpeace earplugs once I'm up and riding, I don't notice I'm wearing earplugs: I can't feel them; they don't hurt; they stay put. They stay put even when putting on my helmet. I can't comment on how the Earpeace earplugs effect hearing my helmet comm. system; I haven't tried it yet. I typically don't listen to music while riding and I sure as heck don't want to be dealing with "extended warranty" spam calls (or *any* calls) while I'm riding. I don't have a cellphone mount for my bike yet (but it's at the top of my list) so I'm not using the GPS voice directions feature. I will update this as my experience with these earplugs continues.

High-quality
The earplugs provided a comfortable fit and significantly reduced wind noise, enhancing the ability to hear the motorcycle clearly while riding. This product is highly recommended for improved riding comfort and awareness. The carrying case is well-constructed, and the inclusion of an extra earplug in the base is a thoughtful touch. It provides a convenient way to keep track of the earplugs when not in use.

As good as the best, but definitely room to improve.
Informal test with Sena 20S EVO in an ICON Airflite and a SMH10 in a Shoei GT-Air. Compared with Nonoise moto plugs.Sound dampening is good, not just noise reduction, but also in the frequencies allowed through. The Nonoise and EarPeace are both on equal footing on their actual job, damping wind noise and allowing comms through. Changing the filter element of the EarPeace (changing the level of sound that's allowed through) is a nice feature and not difficult, but I don't know how often I'd use it in practice. For commuting, I'd just keep it on the least filtering. Maybe if I were touring I'd break out the high level filters on a windy day or something like that. What really separates the EarPeace and the Nonoise is the daily use. Fitting the EarPeace is simpler; just shove them in roughly on-axis, and they'll make a seal. Remember to keep the little pull tab on the top, so they're easier to extract. Pulling on a well-fitted helmet is far less likely to dislodge the EarPeace, even if your ears flop over and you have to poke them back in place. Nonoise have a little grabby stick that extends past the seal surface, so they can become dislodged when donning the helmet. They aren't likely to fall out, but it's enough to break the seal and I might have to re-seat them by reaching up through the bottom of the helmet. Removing the Nonoise is easier and more positive, since you have the stick to grip. Both come with a little screw-case that fits on a keychain. The EarPeace has a compartment for the third (spare) earplug; problem is, you'll need it. The silicone or silicone-like material sticks to my fingers, and there isn't much area to grab the earplug. What's worse, they're asphalt-colored. If you are putting them in in a parking lot, and drop one because it stuck to your fingers, that just cost $5 because you will never see it again. This happened to one on my first trip with them in bright daylight. So now I'm down to two. By comparison, the Nonoise are International Orange. Even though you're less likely to drop them - the surface is not as sticky and it has a sturdy grip stub - if you do, they're hard to miss.It comes down to color, now. In an environment where I'm not pulling a helmet on, like a datacenter or outdoor shooting range, the Nonoise are great. They don't even need to be bright orange, though it's handy. The tiny, non-protruding EarPeace are in every way a better earplug for an activity that involves pulling a helmet over your ears, but wow, "translucent gray" is the worst possible color for them, since there isn't a road or parking lot in the world that they won't disappear into. If I lose enough EarPeace because of the color, then I'll switch back to Nonoise. EarPeace do the job better, but they're a little too expensive to write one off every time I drop it.Make these things in International Orange or hiviz yellow, and they're a winner.

Plug in and ride!
I had so many questions about these earplugs. The main question was, will I still be able to hear my motorcycle radio with these plugs? Are they comfortable to wear? (I have a Street Glide and wear a helmet with ear pads) these plugs cut the wind noise dramatically. They are easy to put in the ear and are comfortable to wear. Best of all, I can hear my radio music BETTER than without them. The effectiveness of the earplugs are just what I was looking for.

Get these to save your hearing.
I've had several pairs of earplugs for when I ride my Harley and these are the best. They are comfortable and can be worn for hours at a time. They cut out that loud road and bike noise so that your ears don't "ring" when you're finished riding. I also use them when there's too much ambient noise. They come with a really nice aluminum case and also have an extra plug in case you lose one.
