Bought over 12 months ago and still going strong unlike the other 6 that I have bought over the last 12 months.They are for keeping orchids and reptiles happy and every single other humidifier I have bought has died within 6 months of purchase due to internal connectors rusting in the humidity.This one has been used nearly every day and is still working perfectly but . . . and this is a big but, it does have one major issue.The reservoir is removable which is usually disastrous resulting in major leaks but not his one, no leaks ever, no thats not the issue.To refill it there is a circular opening with a twist to open or close type fitting and opening requires incredible strength, my Wife can not open it all and she works with horses, has a very good and can open most pickle jars but not this thing.Perhaps with a bit of vaseline on the sealing rubbers it may be easier because after filling when the rubber is wet it closes a lot easier than it opens when the sealing rubber has dried out.There are a few internal nooks and crannies that are very difficult to clean properly which leads to algal growth quickly and though harmless it is unsightly which is a minor negative too.Shame because otherwise it is the best humidifier I have bought but many people will really struggle opening that reservoir, I am a big guy and very strong from years of weightlifting and it surprises me with the force required to open. Clamp firmly between the thighs, grip reservoir hard with the left and twist cap with right until it feels like a bone will break and it snaps open with such a bang i makes the dogs jump!The steam output is very good and it lasts several hours on full with a safety feature that turns it off when the reservoir is empty.Maybe mine is unusual but if not it is a great negative on an otherwise excellent humidifier.Must point out I gave the remote control 1 star as it did not have one and was not advertised as having a remote so no idea why they give a rating for a remote control.

The media could not be loaded.  Easy to use. It has a light which makes a great night light as shown in the video. It mentions a remote. I don't recall having one so never used it. But this is something we use every day and cleaning it is so easy. You don't get that stale water smell as you do with other devices.

Needed humidifier to counteract the drying effect of central heating. This is the 2litre size and will run for close on 24hrs depending on how high you set the vapour. There is no general feeling of dampness or cause dampness on walls, and found my breathing to be more comfortable (nose less dry), I also believe my skin is less dry. It does advise use of distilled water and particularly as I live in a very hard water area I have followed that advice. If needed for use overnight it is very quiet and does have a night light facility. The reason I took a star is that the water tank cap requires a lot of hand/wrist power to open and close.

Use this to hydrate a room that I’m growing mushrooms in and it works perfectly. If you don’t have it going on full it lasts for a decent amount of time, I just top it up once a day.

My mother has had an annoying cattarrhal cough for a long as I can remember. I set this up for her on Friday and by Sunday she was barely coughing. I shall probably get a second one so she has one in her living room and another in her bedroom. It is virtually silent and unobtrusive. I would certainly recommend.

So firstly it’s awesome but the downfall completely ruins it it’s a nightmare to open I’m nearly breaking my fingers every night to open and close it and this time it’s made me bleed. Do not buy under any circumstances.

Stays on for hours but didn’t really read before I bought you can’t use any essential oils and can only use distilled water

I’m in love with this humidifier, it’s extremely easy to use and once full it doesn’t need to be refilled for a day or two (depending on how much I use it).I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks, I’m seeing some limescale deposit, I really hope that won’t be an issue in future.
