The Universe: The book of the BBC TV series presented by Professor Brian Cox

Covers stuff we already know
This book on the Brian Cox TV show just covers the same things we already know, such as finding planets outside our solar system, where most of them are classified as hot Jupiter's. Then we have chapters on how stars form and die, black holes and the beginning of the universe such as the Cosmic background radiation of the big bang. All of this has been covered in other books and it is not worth buying this book. The TV show is much better than the book

Beautiful and Informative
I bought this book as a treat for myself for my birthday. Never saw the tv series, but i saw this inside a shop and thought it was gorgeous, but couldnt afford it at the time. Bought a few months later when the price came down and i wasnt disappointed. The pictures are breathtaking and i bought it primarily for the stunning visualisations. The pages are thick and glossy and the accompanying text is clear and easy to read. The book is an absolute joy to look through, and it being hardback means it will last years.

Greasy fingerprints
The cover had greasy fingerprints when it arrived! After I clean them off, I also noticed some minor damage to the dust sleeve. Not the best impression! Otherwise, the item was as described and arrived on time.
