I wasn't sure if I'd be happy with this lunch box but I'm happily surprised! It's for my son who's a freshmen in high school. Poor kids nowadays have so many do's and dont's and have a lot more to lug around than my generation of 80's school. I needed something slim because of the issue of space but I thought that would sacrifice temperature control. I was proven wrong by Made Rugged Insulated lunchbox. I like the internal Velcro flap that can made it a one or two compartment option. The one side is big enough for a 20oz. Drink. The other a good sized container(see photo)[bento boxes are to tall, by an inch]. I have thin gel packs that can wrap around his drink and thin ice packs for the container side. Comes with a shoulder strap and has a carrying handle and a mesh cargo net for utensils or condiment packs. Outter material is a durable nylon ripstop like material.So with his backpack loaded with books a laptop and his lunch bag it's a lot of stuff! (thank goodness for spine support and padding in newer generation backpacks) Great purchase!

Great lunch bag! It has really clean and professional look to it. It has two zippers, one on each side, for separating your items. There's a collapsible dividing wall inside, so you can fit larger containers. I like that it has a slim profile because it fits nicely in my backpack. The handle and strap seem sturdy. The inside feels pretty well insulated. I can't speak for it being water proof yet. I'll update later. Oh there's also a netted pocket on the inside and another pocket on the outside. The lash tab on the outside was also a nice touch. No complaints really, but I would suggest some improvements for the future, in case MADE RUGGED is reading this. It would be cool if the tabs where the strap attaches to rotated or if there was another set of tabs so that you can carry it zipper side up. That would help with containers that have liquids like soup. Just an idea though. I really like this cooler.

***** UPDATE****** A month later the smell is still there.It's been about a month since I purchased this lunch bag and the gross smell is still there, which makes it unusable for storing food. I've tried airing it out and even baking soda without success. I would not recommend this product at all.July 3, 2017___________________________________Smells horrible, like burnt plastic. I have been letting it air our for several days now but the smell is still lingering, although not as strong as when I first received it. I really like the design but the persisting smell concerns me.

Terrible design! The top does not open all the way, therefore you have to 'slide' everything in this lunchbox. It has 2 zippers on the top that only open the lunchbox half way. The center sides are sewn! I bought 2 of these for my middle school boys and made a huge mistake! Forget about trying to clean the inside because you can't open it all the way!

We got the gray colored one and it is very sharp looking! It also seems to be very durable and is the perfect size! However my biggest complaint is that because of the 2 zippers, which seems like a good idea, the lid will not completely open up or even fold back! You have to slide everything into the bag which makes it difficult to pack the lunch. My son complains that he has to pull everything out in order to see whats in there instead of just pulling something out one at a time. Will be returning.

Nicely made bag. Compartmentalized for sandwiches/meal items on one side, small thermos or drink bottle on the other. Shoulder strap for easy carry. Best of all, it's insulated and can be put in the freezer overnight to keep items really cold.

This is such an odd lunchbox! You cannot open the whole lid, rather, only open one half of the lid at a time. My son was totally confused when he received it and wondered if we should cut the seems so as to open the whole top. If he cut the seems so as to open the top, the lunchbox would've been ruined. Either way, this was a poorly designed lunchbox that we would not recommend. We returned it immediately.

Lots of space without being too large, clearly a durable material. The separation within the bag itself allows me to add some variety to my lunches too. Only drawback is that one cannot unzip all the way around perimeter of the bag such that you are opening a single side of the bag at a a time. But even that is so minor its barely worth mentioning. Even got a compliment from a co-worker.
