Love it, color and fit are great, breathable, lots of design elements
First off, the color and fit are great. I got the blue, it's bright and vibrant. I wasn't sure on sizing, I'm 6 foot tall, broad, and usually wear a 48 jacket. So I got the XXL, and the XL probably would have worked for me ok.I have some fishing shirts from Columbia and Magellan, which I love, vented, breathable fabric. But this Mossy Oak shirt really has a lot more design elements, reminds me more of Travelsmith. It has so many design elements, they do a horrible job describing it, it's really quite impressive:-Breathable layer of mesh throughout yoke and down back. The double layer actually helps with cooling, wicking sweat away, keeping you dry. Some seem to think this is counterintuitive to try to cool with two layers, but they've likely never spent time in the heat (military, backpacking in the heat, etc). Just look at the Bedouins who survive in the Sahara, they wear a thick outer layer, a thin inner layer, and make sure there's airflow and room for sweat to evaporate, keep the skin dry.-Nifty little lens cleaning cloth built in. Shirt fabric is horrible to clean glasses with, most fabrics will scratch. But this microfiber material is perfect.-Reinforced collar and buttons.-Lots of vents in back and shoulders, for cooling.-Fabric has a LOT of flex.-Two chest pockets, with little drainage holes-A loop on the pocket for sunglasses, and a velcro strap above the pocket for more storage.-Fabric has UV protection.-Quick drying fabric, great for beach, any water sport, day at the amusement park. I think these kinds of shirts are ideal for travel.Only a few complaints. It's tough to get stains out of this material. Also, I'm not a huge fan of the shirt being 100% synthetic, I would prefer a cotton blend. And it's going to have a permanent "frumpy" look to it, the nylon is difficult to iron. Finally the price - even though $45ish isn't out of line compared to Travelsmith shirts, I would still like to see the price lower, as there are a lot of competing brands in the $20's and $30's.Overall though I love it, solid thumbs up.
