Toysmith Cosmic Coil Toy

Christmas gift for boy 7. He was so excited & wanted one. Played with it all morning. Fun different shapes & shiny silver attracts the light. Can run up & down both arms with speed. Stores in included storage bag. Would recommend this toy.

It is horrible. I was very disappointed because it seemed pricey but I have had good experiences with Toysmith toys so I went ahead and bought it. It is made out of what feels like unfinished galvanized thin metal. The weld doesn't seem strong (I think ours is about to break). And there is very little to do with it. You can wear it as a bracelet. You can kind of deform it. You can rotate it on a string. It was the biggest waste of money this year. I bought it in advance and gave it to my kids this summer to play with - 15 minutes where they were trying to figure out how it could be cool before giving up (and these are kids who can play for hours with most things). They managed to get it back into shape - kind of and then went looking for other things to do - I can't blame them. I do blame Toysmith - what were they thinking?

My two kids have played with this on and off for years.

I saw a child playing with the coil and was fascinated. He was able to maintain an interest in the coil while being quiet in a room full of adults. I ordered it for my grandsons but haven't given it yet.

One of those things that sounds good but in reality wasn't so good for my six year old grandson. Would not purchase again. Don't understand why five stars. Money down the drain.
