I bought this because I was recommended on a writing course to look at how Martin Amis uses words and how and where. I am enjoying his extensive vocabulary which can seem a little pretentious in places. The story of the novel itself is a really interesting concept I’ve not read before where the author is telling the story of writing a book about the characters. If it sounds confusing it is a little but stick with it.Martin Amis is definitely a connoisseur of the English language and his writing makes the book intriguing and beautiful!

Best of The London Trilogy, by common agreement. Lionel Asbo just can't reach Keith Talent's dizzy heights. Yeah cheers Amazon innit.
