The Princess Bride (25th Anniversary Edition) [Blu-ray]

Loved watching this movie as a child growing up!! Rented this movie with my two sons ages 8 and 10 and at first acted like they were going to hate it because of the title. They ended up loving it nd have asked me to rent them The Princess Bride movie now on several occasions!!! Great boys movie option too!!!

Even those people who hate "those kinds" of movies will be won over by this film. It has something for everyone. A classic. Campy, Classy, Action, Romance, Intrigue, Vengeance, and Andre the Giant. RIP.

Maybe better than Big Jake, even for men! Every time I see it (a fair amount), I say what a great movie this is: fights, swordplay, magic and "true love." More importantly action and humor.

It's the Princess Bride. What's not to love?

Everyone should see this movie at least once. I would improve it only two ways: an earlier edition DVD included an interactive quiz, but this Blu-ray edition does not. Second, I would love to have this movie include CD-ROM versions of the soundtrack. While most Blu-rays do not include that separate audio, I just wish that they did.

I had managed to survive many decades without ever seeing this film. When my wife discovered this during a casual conversation about streaming entertainment, I thought she might actually pack a bag and leave. Upon watching with her, I can't judge because she can recite every line of dialogue! How fun!!

Yes, just yes best movie ever I recommend I watch this before and I love it just just yes just buy it. Trust me have a good day or night or whatever time it is. Thanks for reading this.

Honestly go and get your head checked out if you are not a fan of this move. In addition tell me, so I can remove you from my Christmas card list.

Truly a classic-- 28 years later, and it's still hilarious. Sometimes even funnier than the first time I saw it in college (e.g.-- now I get the whole "never get involved in a land war in Asia" crack. Ah, that Congress were also aware of the irony...)

I apparently got exactly what I ordered. So I can't complain too much, but it would have been nice if they clearly marked in English that this had no JP subs. I know some European disks have JP subs and assumed any disc sold on amazon Japan, even an import, would have JP subs.I guess its my fault for not reading Japanese, but as this disc has no JP subs, I assume non-Japanese people would be there target market anyhow.

First of all, if you haven’t seen Princess Bride, stop reading now, go buy it and sit down and watch one of the greatest movies ever made.......ok... now that you’re back let’s agree some things:1. This film is amazing. It’s hilarious, it’s action packed, it’s clever, it’s family friendly, and it’s touching.2. The theme tune for this film is amazing. A song that will be strumming through your brain for years to come.3. The title sucks - and I believe that’s why more people I speak to don’t know about this film. They think it’s a pink girly film when in fact it’s actually a Piratey, action, adventure film!4. The quality of this transfer to Blu-Ray is superb. It’s crystal clear in both visual and audio. Probably the best way you’ll ever see this film.Seriously, if you haven’t seen this film already go and watch it now! Get past the title and you will find one of the finest movies ever made.

This is one of those family favourites that come out every so often on a long wet Sunday afternoon. The story is a delightful take on a fairy tale, told by a loving grandfather (Peter Falk) to his grandson who is sick in bed. Now here's the thing: the boy is not particularly keen on having to listen to a silly old fairy tale. But like the audience he is soon drawn into the world of princes and princesses, adventures and misadventures and, yes, something that can only be described as a passionate romance.The film is a lovely alternative to action packed superhero fantasies produced on a huge budget. It relies on the magic of the story and the performances of the cast. Also worth mentioning is the rather enchanting music. Really enjoyable film for all ages.The DVD I bought has no subtitles. However, none were promised in the product description and the sound quality is good, so it's not a problem. Other releases may have subtitles and it may be worth while looking at the various buying options.

Possibly the best fairy tale movie ever made. Sword fights, pirates, kidnap, magic potions and a true love so enduring that death cannot stop it.Not to mention a 7'4" wrestler who has a skill for rhyming.One of my favourite of all times, and exactly the antidote that you need to whats happening in the outside world at the minute.The only thing that dates this film is the video game at the beginning and the ROUS (Rodents of Unusual Size).Having just listened to the audiobook of the making of the film, the stories behind the story make it even more enjoyable.Good Bluray edition with bonys extras. The picture is still a little grainy, but in some ways that makes it a bit better.
