Zodiac 6-500-00 Universal Wall Fitting Replacement

You will need a mask and snorkel. But this was much easier than I thought. I was dreading what some reviewers said about having to cut this piece out. But if you use needle nose pliers and push the washer out the back of the old piece it allows you to open the needle nose pliers and grab the notches in the back of the base. Then it’s quite easy to take channel locks and back back it out. I did use Teflon tape and putting a new piece in as some reviewer suggested. Works great!

Easy to screw in and no fitment issues!

Just like a Polaris It’s in the wall and seems to be working just fine.

My quick disconnect wall connect piece had swollen to the point that it wouldn’t come out of the wall! I had to remove the entire socket and there was no way of salvaging this part so I ordered a new one. It fit perfectly with no issues and it also matches perfectly the Zodiac quick disconnect piece which was awesome since this is a Polaris part (Not Zodiac). Now the entire thing slides in and out like butter which is a relief! Glad I got the part off amazon. Just wish this piece of plastic was a bit cheaper.

Perfect! My old one was leaking from the ring and also whistling. Listened to the other reviews which said to leave the quick disconnect connected while you unscrew the old one and came off with a little force which definitely would have broken it off if the quick disconnect was not connected. Also used some Teflon tape to make it easier to remove next time.

Works great. Fit like the OEM for my Polaris 280. Is nice that it has the exterior lip to grab it with channel locks. Makes it easy to screw in. A word of warning: Be careful removing the old one. To much torque will rip off the outside making it near impossible to get the old one out. I had to gently use a hacksaw, screwdriver, and needlenose pliers to destroy the old one out of its fitting. I was very careful not to damage the threads that the new one would screw into. If you're having trouble removing old one, google some options before using testosterone. Turned a 10 minute project into a 2 day project!

Bought this one to replace the OEM one that cracked and this one is very solid and worked great all summer. I recommend this one because of the sturdiness of it.

C'est bien la pièce Polaris d'origine. Mais comme sur la pièce d'origine, il n'y a aucun joint d'étanchéité. Donc il y a une (légère) fuite. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi Polaris/Zodiac ne corrigé pas ce problème.
