Sungrabber 2-2X20 I/G Replacement & LiquidHeat Solar Blanket

With this solar panel as a replacement for one that leaked we now have 3 Sungrabber panels warming our pool. the pool is up to 86 degrees and felt delightful during the last heat wave.

It's just a part of owning a great solar pool heating system. Like having to replace tires on a car, these panels have to be replaced as time goes by. These things do their job well and it's a small price to pay, considering I'm not having to pay for any energy for the heat.

The material is very thin,susceptible to punctures and not durable. A big waste of money and time. One came with a hole in it.

I have those Sungrabber panels on my roof and after about 3-5 years they started to have tiny leaks at the seams, the bleeder valve and headers.Every year at least twice I had to tightened the clamps at the connectors because connectors shrink.When you touch the collectors, you get all black on your hands meaning they deteriorate in the sun light and get brittle.Before those Sungrabber collectors I had Heliocol collectors, they lasted 15 years with little maintenance. Same house, same pool.Guess, one gets what one pays for.

These solar heaters work well. They add 2-3 months to our swimming season
