WICAND Large Microwave Kiln for DIY Fusing Glass Kiln Tools

I've been using this for low-fire ceramics - spoon bowls and little plant pots and the like. I've had success with this process:1. Dry greenware in toaster oven at 150 for an hour2. Microwave for 18 minutes3. Glaze, dry bisqueware in toaster oven at 150 for an hour4. Microwave for 18 minutes

Been having a lot of fun playing around with this. Great for globbies, but pretty inconsistent heat for much else.Small firing area, but I’ve used it for small birds, with uneven results.

Best invention for the kiln world. It’s amazing science that works like pure magic. You’ll see once you own one, just don’t use your food microwave. I don’t know why, I just wouldn’t.

Heats up, but doesn't work well. Smells up the entire place. I tried it on both: clay and glass. Blew up my clay (after it has been drying for 72 hours). Did nothing to the glass. Smelled of terribly burning objects. But didn't break my microwave...

I used cone 6 clay and glazes and had great results making earrings. Either 30 minutes total in 3 minute bursts for bisque or 30 minutes straight for glazes ( I used underglaze on the back ) 1000 watt microwave , removed when it was done and let cool on concrete before opening ( used oven mitts and tongs)

I've used one of these kilns for a few years and decided to replace my old one. Great glass fusing and decal use. Definitely use with kin paper to prevent damage to kiln. Great price and enjoyment.

Does exactly what it is supposed to. To be very clear, this is not a toy for someone who has zero experience. Do not be like these one-star reviewers endangering themselves because they did not properly educate themselves before using a kiln.
