A big block of salt on a string. May work for people, excellent for longhorns
A big chunk of pink salt with a hole through the middle, and a string. My longhorns love these. I may have hippie cows that like pink salt, but I prefer to think that they are canny salt aficionados. They ignore the white blocks and go after these, after all.

NIce but rope is of dubious quality
My backyard deer like this but the rope is of not-the-best quality. Mine feel after just a week or two in the Florida heat and damp, replaced it with paracord an all is well now.
