The lights themselves were really easy to install. All I had to do before installing these were to make sure the surface was completely clean and dried before installing. I installed these on my wall above my bed. I bought these to add some lighting near my bed just for the extra light and accent lighting. I didn't want anything too bright, considering these were going to be above our head. The cord for these was plenty long enough that we were able to put these on our wall and still have to use a twist tie to keep the excess cord all together. The remote for this allows us to adjust the lighting with just a push of the button. If we want color, we just press mode button and it will change the color of lights. Plus we're able to make them brighter or dimmer with again, a press of a button. Doesn't add heat but does add the right amount of light.

Really wanted to get the Govee glide panels but went in this direction since it was cheaper. I bought these along with the other Govee light glide light bars that do not have a corner piece. While these seem more up to date with way it’s build and options on the app, I was disappointed to find that would can not extend or combine both units. They must stay separate. Definitely would buy this kit vs the kit with no corner piece, recommend 💯💯💯

My 14 year old has several fun lights in his room this one is his favorite so far! He set it up himself, it has a ton of light variations the switch is on the cord so no need to keep track of a remote which is helpful. This qould make a great gift!
