It would be nice if the dish ware was lighter in weight
On the cups, I bought them for my cousin who lost her left arm to the shoulder due to negligence of the hospital. It would be nice if the dish ware was lighter in weight. It’s too heavy when you fill it up. And also microwaveable. With all the handicapped people in this state, you would think to make appropriate dish ware with handles because they are self sufficient. Think about it,,,,,On the Mister coffee double lined thermal pot, I was better off with my old Mr. Coffee pot. Don’t get me wrong I just was under the impression that this pot was the best thing since sliced bread!!!!! Well it makes good coffee and hot from the get go, after that for your second cup I have to microwave for 22 seconds and it’s good. It’s not what I wanted but it’s all I have. Being a senior I was expecting what your ad stated it would do. I’m very disappointed with this coffee pot.

One thing to know
I purchased two because they are a little spendy and I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to buying an entire set. They look very nice; a modern design that is still sturdy. I am buying another one today, and I guess I will keep adding one to every Amazon order. These get very hot when you microwave food (usually soup for me) in them. So hot that I have to grasp the mug by the handle and not touch the bowl. However, they are also heavy, especially filled with liquids, so I cannot hold the mug by the handle very long. Only 5 seconds or less. So I end up putting a plate under the hot mug, so I could just use a non-handle soup bowl for the same purpose. So why do I like these mugs? Storage. I have mug hooks on the underside of my kitchen cabinets and I hang these from the hooks. No need to use any cabinet or counter space to store them, and they are easily accessible when I want them. And they look pretty all in a row, especially if you have white mug hooks.

This is really big
Boy, is this huge! And heavy! Use potholders when transporting this from the microwave, you won't be able to safely handle this hot otherwise. And always use both hands, especially if you have tiny hands like I do. Cuz this will crack if it's dropped. All in all, a pretty good bargain. It's huge enough to hold my extra large ramen noodles, so it's pretty big. If you're looking for jumbo, this is it. But it's a tad difficult to clean, if you've left some leftovers sit in this for too long.

Very heavy -- for good or bad depending
I originally bought the same product with the same brand name in 2011 and wanted to buy some new ones. They look almost exactly the same as the others I have, but they have gotten significantly heavier, with much thicker sidewalls. Because these are large bowls to begin with and I usually fill them with soups/stews which makes them heavy anyway (too heavy to actually pick up by the handle alone), the extra weight on these is disappointing. I also paid less than $6 per bowl in 2011, and now they are close to $15. And they say there's no inflation! For the price, you could buy something of much higher quality (Villeroy + Boch, for example) . But I do like the design with handle very much. FYI, you can also buy the same design in a 20 ounce size, from other vendors. A bit smaller but you can buy a set of four bowls for much less. Not sure if the 20 ounce version is available on Amazon but I found them on other online merchant sites

Needs a Bigger / Better Handle
I purchased this bowl to microwave hot cereal in my office. I needed something with a handle that would allow me to easily and securely carry a bowl that was otherwise too hot to the touch. I've been using this for a couple of weeks and it's worked out reasonably well, but the handle could be bigger and better designed. I can get, at most, two fingers through the handle, and the design of the handle does nothing to help stop the bowl from dipping while you're carrying it. The bowl itself is fairly heavy. Filled with hot oatmeal it is even heavier. It's a little bit of a challenge to carry the bowl by the handle it's while hot and full. It's far preferable to the stoneware bowl it replaced that had no handles and could not be easily picked up and carried while hot, but still, it could be better. I gave it three stars instead of four because I feel the weight and the handle significantly detract from its function to be used for hot foods.

It's perfect
It's as heavy as other reviews say but it's also a quality soup mug. You definitely need two hands to drink soup from any mug or cup this size. I recommend it if you like quality dishware.

Heavy!
Weighs a frickin ton! Anyone with arthritis or anyone who has had any type of hand or wrist surgery may want to avoid.
