This thing rocks!
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but my first impression is that it's going to be a handy little tool! Metal/steel is heavy duty, amd it operates smoothly with a good grip. It appears in addition to the 4-ish in grip range you could also pull the paracord out of the top and loop it around limbs. If I remember I'll update after actually using it.Tip when setting up -- put a piece of tape around the lead end of the paracord, wrap it tight. This will allow you to more easily thread the cord through the handle.

Bolts/fasteners rust
The body of it being coated is great however the screws that hold it together are rusted and starting to corrode. I kayak in brackish water but these shouldn’t rust like that after 2 kayaking trips. They should all be stainless rust resistant. I always let it air dry with my other equipment after a trip. My after trip cleaning and drying ritual lasts about 2 hrs. I try to take care of my Hobie and equipment. Disappointing.

Compact and handy!
Nice to be able to latch onto a tree to keep my kayak moored while having a snack -- or a nap!

Love this device!!
Initially I was looking for a kayak anchor so I could stay in one spot and not float away but then I saw this. It has been awesome. I just tie down on a tree branch or post in the water, and I’m secure. Great to have. Not expensive. Worth the money.

Heavy duty
This clamp is perfect. If you want to anchor to something this little thing is perfect. It fits nicely in the kayak and does a great job on many size branches, etc. I would definitely purchase this again for myself and friends.

Bought this for my kayak
This has turned out to be a very useful tool for anchoring to a branch or whatever I can find when kayaking and wanting to stay in one place. Works great. Clamps on well. It came with a long cord. Works well.

Great for fishing or a quick tour ashore to find firewood.
I have used this 2 weekends camping with my 14' fiberglass canoe, now. The first couple of times I used it I kept a close eye on my canoe to make sure it didn't float away. I am now more worried about what I hook it to pulling out, as opposed to worrying about it's grip strength. Works well and will recommend to people I see on the water.
