Nice bib if you can keep it shut
I have big boobs; very, very big boobs. They work great at protecting my lap from ever getting anything spilled on it. Sadly, they do this by catching every bit of food and every stain possible! With this cravaat my poor, abused shirts get a break from stains, and get to survive more than one wearing before they are stained too badly and have to be thrown out. This cavaat has super soft fabric that feels like the softest silk (which, thankfully I am not allergic to, since I have multiple chemical sensitivity). However, the fabric doesn't absorb spills so much as encourage them to stick where they land until shaken off. (Yes, it really is weird, but it's super convenient!) When you aren't using it, this cavaat just looks like a scarf that you could wear around town!I actually like this so much that I bought 2 more!Ok, why not 5 stars? Well, the main problem with this cavaat is that it needs something to help keep it closed over your shirt when using it as a bib. Just regular movement will open it up the middle in only a few minutes. I would love it if it had a few whole earth magnets inside that could keep it closed.Still the best of the 6 types of bibs that I could find here on amazon.

I looked at bibs and though they are nice..
...I have a friend who shakes a lot....when we go out to eat she inevitably gets food dropped onto her lap and chest....I looked at bibs and though they are nice....they look just like bibs (not exactly image enhancing) ...and then i found this product....what a wonderful idea...now she looks snazzy...doesn't worry about the fallout....and we can go eat out with pleasure.....will be buying this in other colors for sure....when you don't open up the scarf to act as bib...it is a very stylish looking scarf...kudos to whoever thought of this....

ATTRACTIVE AS A SCARF UNTIL NEEDED TO PROTECT CLOTHING AT DINNERTIME, EVEN HAS ITS OWN LITTLE STORAGE POUCH
I really like the style and nicely-patterned material, but I never seem to have it along when we decide to go to a restaurant with splashy dark food. They thoughtfully included a little storage pouch and one would think I'd keep it with me, but I've only remembered to take it once. I got some compliments from other ladies I ate with, and some of them even guessed it was an "adult bib" which I'm not quite old or messy enough to need yet. Anyway, it's a clever idea, if I can just remember to bring it. It was long enough on me to about reach my lap.

Soft Suede Fabric Wipes Clean Easily, It's Elegance Yet Practical
These bibs are elegant to slip on at a dinner to protect your clothing yet practical enough to use at home for meals that include easy spill textures. I don't like wearing food spilled down the front of my blouse for the rest of the day after I've been out to dinner. When you've soiled the scarf, simply wipe the dropped food off the bib with a napkin or WetOne and you are as good as new. Then fold the dining scarf and place into it's storage bag. Slip it in your purse, briefcase or the glove compartment of your car and you are ready to go.

Would work better for women
Should specify as women's only, doesn't really work for men. Not great coverage. Needs a clip or something to hold the two sides together. As a woman's product with a nice button or clasp, would be fabulous.

Great for anyone wanting to preserve their clothing
I got 2 of these for my Mom who has a large chest and is always dripping food on herself. In the past she has just stuffed a napkin in her shirt. I was worried she might be insulted, but instead, she was delighted with the idea and loved the patterns I picked. Now they just need to make a few more masculine patters, because my Dad is totally jealous! Maybe a plain black or plaids.

Cravaat delighted relative in assisted living
I bought this for my mother-in-law, who had a stroke last summer, and who has trouble keeping food from getting on her clothes. She has a couple of adult bibs which were fine when she was in the hospital and rehab, but she's embarrassed by them in her current assisted living residence. So I ordered this leaf-pattern Cravaat, and she is thrilled. It's classy, it doesn't mark her as an invalid, and it does a great job of protecting her clothes. It does so much more for her than keep her clean; it really picked up her spirits and made her feel like wearing a necklace again, dressing up a little more--just a real psychological boost. I highly recommend it to anyone with an older relative as an alternative to a bib. I've ordered a second one (and may order more) so one can be in the wash while she wears the other. Don't hesitate--it's so worth it!

Mom loves them!
Bought several different patterns of these for my mom and she loves them! Pays to have several patterns so they go with her outfit. She lives in an assisted living facility and eats in a communal dining room. She recently became blind so getting used to eating was difficult. They were using a white terry bib and while it is effective it seems a bit lacking in dignity. This has made the dining experience much better. Now if we could improve the food! ;)
