Purely Organic Products Crabgrass Defender Lawn Food 10-0-2, 15 LB, Covers 3000 Sq Ft

I was hesitant to get this weed and feed because of the mixed reviews. But I gave it a shot because my yard needed some help and I didn't want to use any chemicals since I have kids and animals on the lawn often. I have to say that it worked pretty well. My front yard is on the south side of our house so it gets a lot more sun which dries it out a lot more. After using this weed and feed it looks a lot better. The back yard is getting thicker in places. I'm going to give the product another chance in the spring and fall to see how it does.

Have been able to get 100% corn gluten for a cheaper price with more sq footage to cover Time will tell.

Have a relatively small lawn in our backyard that gets heavy use by our toddler and dog— so didn’t want to use any chemicals, but had a lot of hand weeding last summer to keep up with the dandelions and crab grass. Figured we’d give this a try. I spread it in the spring when the forsythias in our neighborhood were in mid-bloom (as had been suggested by some websites and our local nursery). It’s now the fall, and I can confidently say our crabgrass was reduced dramatically all season. Seems like maybe less dandelions than last year, too, although not as significant a reduction. And it seemed like it made our lawn happy. Plan to continue using this!

We use this every year to keep the crab grass at bay. It may not be as powerful as the toxic stuff, but it does great while giving me peace of mind. Safe and effective. That's all I could ask for!

Purchased 2 bags of this product, put it down and watered per instructions. Worst product I’ve ever used. Did not kill crab grass at all! This was a very expensive product that is useless. Still have all the crabgrass. My advise is don’t waste your money like we did!

Spread this out on the lawn and after a few rains weeds came up more than I ever had. Weeds took over the yard and had to buy a weed killer , which I didn't want because of the toxic products and I have pet. Didn't effect the crabgrass at all , they like it.9/5/23 updating the review because I noticed after the last rainfall grass looks really healthy and there is noticeably less weeds , but this took awhile after the initial use . Will try this product again and see if I get continued results.

I prefer organic products, but they actually need to work to justify the extra expense! I used this product as recommended. It has not stopped crabgrass or other weeds sprouting and has also not given the lawn the early boost that I was hoping it would. I have used corn gluten products before with equally poor results. The benefit of this one is that it is easier to apply than others that are a very fine powder. But too expensive for too little positive results.

Really does kill off most weeds and I like that it's organic.
