Nice, lightweight pack!
This is a really nice pack, especially for the money. It has more straps and clips than I an imagine ever using...or knowing what to use them for! But I like the zipper pulls, pockets, padded straps and chest strap. It's a pretty stout pack with the frame in so I took the it out, with some difficulty. (Some say easy - not so!) You really have to flex it backwards with a lot of strength to be able to pull it out of the pockets at the base where it's connected to the pack. But now it's good but hope I don't want to put it back in. The only problem when the frame is removed you also remove the waist belt. I wish they had built one in to use when the frame is removed rather than all the other straps that are there. Since I have sewing skills, I might be able to reconfigure these to make a waist strap. You don't lose the chest strap, so that may be all that is needed. However, considering what all it has, even with the frame & belt removed, it's a great pack! And doesn't take a week's paycheck to buy.

Excellent for the price!
At the time of my purchase, these were originally $69, marked down to $29. I purchased this for my daughter as a daypack for upcoming backpacking trips. I have not taken it out on the trail yet but as for initial inspection.... this is a quality pack. I was very surprised at the overall quality. The fabric seems durable and the seams look good. There are large loop zipper pulls on almost every compartment. The hydration bladder area is large enough for a 2-liter bladder. The front has a large stow pouch for easy access to something like a light jacket or poncho. My Kelty Redwing pack has something similar and I was not expecting those features at this price. The bag itself is fairly tall. A lot larger than I was expecting. The bottom straps could hold a sleeping pad or tent roll but nothing too large. There are no molle straps on the bottom. Overall this seems like a great bag. I'll update this later after we use it a few times.

Excellent value for a daypack with a waist belt.
I couldn't be more pleased with this daypack. This the best value available for a pack with a waist belt, which is very important if you are carrying any significant weight for a long hike. I only hike a few times a year, so I didn't want to spend over $100 for an REI pack. The Mission Peak pack worked great. I am 6' 3", so it was not the ideal fit but I was able to loosen the shoulder straps enough to have the weight distributed correctly. Very good pack for a great price!

Handled 5 National Parks with ease
Usually never write a review, but thought one was warranted after a week in southern Utah. Handled Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Arches without a problem. Even handled Angels Landing at Zion. Well constructed and reliable. Just the right size, plenty of storage for food, other misc, 35mm dslr and extra lens, 3L bladder and two hiking poles. Fit me fine, 6'2" at 196 lbs. At $30 great value and better than my daughter's Osprey.I did not receive an incentive to write this review.

Great budget (25-30L) day hike pack
Quality seems up there with the major brands. The only downfall, as others have noted, it is definitely a small 40L. There is a curve in the back and the pack is not very expandable width wise, so this seems to take up some of the usable space. Making it closer to 25-30l pack. As long as you're aware of the packs size, it's a good 25-30 day hike pack. is very comfy to wear, I could wear it all day with no issue.

I used this pack for day hikes in Yellowstone and the Tetons. It was the perfect size as I was able to carry everything that one would need on a day hike (hammock, pillow, jacket, water, camera, chair). The rain cover was great when an afternoon shower popped up. It also doubled as my carry on for the flight. I ordered another as a gift when I got back, they loved it to.

Excellent backpack. I did experience a tear where a webbed clip attaches to the pack. LOVE the removable frame, so I can use it for college classes when not hiking!!

I like the pack
I like the pack, but only after I made a modification- I had to hacksaw the braces that hold the pack off of your back because they actually interfered with the internal space in the main compartment. There's plenty of clearance even with the metal braces being "neutralized"
