The stove is portable and kicks off a lot of heat! Unfortunately the top was pretty warped by the second time I used the stove and it lets sparks jump out. I reached out to the company to ask them what to do as this seems like a safety issue and quality control issue and was just told that they were sold out. I haven't had any other responses. If I had to buy a stove again at this price point I would go with a different company.

Stove arrived with one day shipping. After opening the box I noticed that some of the piping came damaged, therefore that's the reason for 4 stars. There's just enough piping that wasn't damaged, where I have enough to use with my tipi.First burn went well just like every other wood stove I've owned. The setup was extremely quick, no directions needed.The main reason why I went with this one is because the G Stove isn't available until late April, early May. It's still very high quality for the price. Feels very solid. I cannot wait to use this in the upcoming season.Update: Used this on a below freezing 3-day camping trip, and ended up warping every side of it as well as the first section of piping. Although it did, it kept us really warm and didn't give out. Will see if this survives the next camping trip.

I like the size of the stove for my hot tent . It heats very well but really needs a 3” damper for the stove pipe to help regulate heat and burn time . My only problem with the stove is the removable top of the stove. The first time I fired the stove the plate warped over a quarter inch . And has continued to do so every time it’s heated up .

This stove arrived a week early and was easy to set up if you have used a tent stove before,. I did the initial burn in today with half of the stove pipes as this comes with more than enough (8 12 inch pipe sections + the spark arrester) I used some compressed sawdust fire bricks and the stove had a great draw from the get go, no problems and it is sturdy and well built, the legs stayed cool to the touch as did the outside of the shelves, but be careful as they do get hot the closer to the stove body you get, I wanted a G-stove since it had two windows and most only have the one but they are back ordered till May so this one was a great price with the $50.00 off coupon and I've very happy with it and would buy it again.

The stove arrived quickly, which allowed me the chance to try it out over a six day wilderness outing. Overall, the stove functioned well, and was used to both heat the tent on a few chilly evenings, as well as cook a few meals. So, no complaints from me on the stoves function, durability, and intended usefulness. I should also mention that although the stoves ash-tray/drawer also serves as an effective primary draft damper, I purchashed and installed a secondary 3 inch damper inside the flue pipe which gave me greater control and adjustment over the stoves draft/burn rate. My only complaint (or should I say major disappointment) was that upon arrival and unboxing, I found the glass window for the stove shattered completely. I have to admit that the ability to see the fire through the door window was partly a selling point for me, but due to timing, I had to improvise and fit a piece of metal into the window hole and head out for camp. It worked, but would have been nice to enjoy the stove as intended.

The stove gets RED HOT and will burn/singe hair immediately. I would suggest not using it inside of the yurt. The stove pipe actually started to blacken/burn the canvas because it got so hot. Any slight bump to the stove will cause the stove pipe to fall out and could burn down the yurt in minutes. I was not able to have my dogs or child in the yurt while the stove was going as it could have caused a serious burn in minutes. It burns hot and fast and does generate a lot of heat, but is very unsafe to be used within the yurt itself.

for the money this thing is awesome. 1st one came with broke glass. amazon replaced no questions asked with quick delivery. dont for get to weight down the top plate for the first 5 burns to keep it from warpping like 1 of the guys in the other reviews. the instructions are limilted because most of it is common sense but the warpping plate is the 1 thing that is important.

this product is silid and warm, however it lets in too much air which means yo cannot dampen it DOWN or LESSEN the heat and flame!!.I'd load it up because it was cold out. could not dampen it down & te stove pipe got cherry red !! actually burned the flame retardant ring around the tent pipe exit .plus it burned through the hardwood so quick I had to check it every hour to reload the wood. A very stressful and worrysome night ! . I didnt want to give up so when I got home from camping I tried various ways to seal up the gaps as the stove was not cheap @$400 !I tried red stove pipe gasket sealer good for 600 degrees, melted off !!I do not recommend buying this stove until the heat can be controlled properly thus making the wood last longer so one can have somewhat of a good safe sleeep.Regards Michael waddell

Just got it today. My husband set it in our backyard and got it going right away. Good quality and easy to use. Burns clean and warms really well. Only down side is it’s confusing getting all the pipes back in the oven when putting it away. Eventually figured it out but there were no instructions for that. Still very happy with the purchase!

really good product, it arrived late but based on covid I was happy to receive it, great quality but even if you follow the recommendation the metal will bent which is causing the front vent to seize sometimes, and also the top cover and sides are warping even if I put a gallon of water on top but overall its well spent and is working well ive been using it in -30 weather and it was warm and was burning well awesome stove if your willing to bend the metal after a few use but it never stopped me from using it

This item arrived with a broken hinge. The rest is quite sturdy. Because it is not sealed and didn't have a heat control flap in the chimney it uses a lot of wood to keep my tent warm.
