I love how it looks. It seems like it will last a long time too.One problem was that it was a bit fiddly to install (maybe that's normal with aftermarket shift knobs). I managed to make it work with a washer and rubber gasket (the rubber squished a bit so I got it nice and tight).The other issue is that it's metal, and when it was 10 degrees or less overnight, it is REALLY bloody cold in the morning.But I really like how it looks, and the weight feels pretty nice.

This is a nice gear knob. It has weight to it and feels good shift. The only issue I have is that copper adapter has a ridge that stick out. This means the knob will never sit flush onto whatever you are screwing it on to.In my case, I also purchased the DEWHEL SHIFT KNOB BOOT RETAINER/ADAPTER (same company) and after installation, there is a little gap between the adapter and the knob. They should have adapters without the ridge at the end to allow for flush installation.Overall, I am please with the look and feel. On hot days, the knob is VERY hot (but cools down quickly with the AC). For the first couple of minutes of driving, I shift gear using the adapter instead, since it doesn't get as hot. However, I knew this would be the case from other reviews, so it doesn't bother me.

I used it to replace the original worn shifter knob on my Miata ND. Installation required additional hardware With the included threaded insert (10x1.25), this knob sits higher than the original knob leaving the rod exposed. I bridged the gap with DEWHEL Shift KNOB Boot Retainer/Adapter for Manual Gear Shifter Lever 10X1.25. Additionally, a couple of .5 ID, 0.030-thick washers were required to tighten the knob with the inscriptions in the correct orientation. Once installed, it feels very smooth and substantial in the hand, the only drawback being that it heats up when the car is parked in the sun, making shifting a bit of a burn hazard.Alternatively, the included threaded insert can be modified by cutting the shoulder off, which would make the knob sit lower than the original, however additional provisions would need to be made to orient the inscriptions.All in all, a good product...... Unfortunately the knob came off 7 months later, as the threaded insert broke in half.

Went to install and one of the adapters broke in two pieces. Other than that, looks really good installed.

When trying to get the knob as low as possible, the shoulder that stops the threaded insert also stopped the knob threading down as far as I wanted and there was plenty more room for it to go inside the knob but not down the shifter rod. I ground that shoulder off and away we go. The top of the knob now sits lower than my stock one by a little ways and with the weight of this knob it’s freaking brilliant. Much less effort to shift and a much more confident throw with an even better look to it

This weighted shift knob is great and looks even better in person. There are a few downsides for me: Since the original shift knob was a bit longer, there is now a gap between the neck of the shift knob and the shift knob itself. Also, it gets ice cold. Lastly, it’s so smooth that I fear sometimes my hand will slip as I am shifting.

I was worried about the gap between the shift knob and boot after reading other reviews, but this shift knob fit perfect in my 08 Altima! For those worried about thread gap issues, boot retainer/adapter will solve this issue.
