Came out even better than expected!! My son did this with my grandsons, ages 6 & 7, so I can’t speak on actually making the crystals, but he said it was easy and the kids loved watching their crystals grow. There are 4 in each kit, and I gave them each a kit. They only made 2 so far, so there’s plenty of crystals yet to be made! Highly recommend!

Great for homeschooled kids! Just be sure to add the powder packet before adding the water to the disc in the cup. You get four and we read reviews about it not working for some so we tried an experiment of adding the powder packet to some as per the directions and one we added it before adding the boiling water and that one had taller and nicer crystals form! Enjoy!

I am called on to babysit 7 grandchildren aged 12 and under. Projects like this provide a great way to engage and expand their hungry little brains -- and none of the special effects are computer-generated! Imagine that.

I bought this for my 9yr daughter. I helped her and we grew a very nice crystal. The crystals grew so long, the cup was not big enough and hindered the overall appearance. Will probably try a larger container on the next one. However, the crystals were not thick like the pictures, they were small and spindly. They broke easily if handle with any more than a cotton ball. But over all, a great experience with the kids.

Great craft and my children LOVED it. However, they were both disappointed because neither of their lights worked. They still enjoyed growing the crystals, it just would have been nice to even have one of the lights work.

My 5 year old is big into science and this has been a fun experiment for her. It comes with kid sized safety glasses that appear to be decent quality which is nice. The gloves it comes with are large enough for bigger kids but not adult size. For her small hands she was still able to manage. It's day 3 and the crystals are about 2 inches tall

Gave to kids to use over Christmas break to keep them busy & entertained. They loved it. I will buy again.
