Suet Cake 12 Pack | Case of 12 Suet Cakes for Wild Birds (Woodpecker High Energy)

I put out 1 cake per day, it lasts about 4 hours. I have been searching for a less expensive alternative to name brands which cost $0.20 to $0.40 per ounce, while this one costs $0.15 per ounce. In addition to the cost savings, I find the packaging much easier and less wasteful; one lose thin plastic envelope that doesn't stick to the cake vs. a solid plastic container that you have to pry the cake out of, getting small pieces of suet all over and leaving some attached to the container. In summary: the birds love them, they're cheaper and much easier to use.

Birds and chickens love it but so do the raccoons so it comes in at night.

So easy to place in holder…slice the wrapper and squeeze in holding the wrapped end. Don’t like messing with traditional suet packs that have to be removed from a tray. Birds love them…watch them fly away with chunks in their beak!

it is very crumbly and hard to handle. falls apart easily. won't buy this brand again. birds like it ok but it makes a mess because it crumbles so easily.
