I'm 'Mented' Addicted.This is my 2nd palette after the eye & just can't believe How Good.Funny I almost passed bc just got a Gorgeous kit from 'Touch of Sol'.However was so in love with 'Mented' Everynight eye, had to try.'Mented' is geared to women of color.Here's where this kit Works on Light/Medium skin.in your 20/30's you're all about contour to slim out the baby fat.In your 40/50's contour makes you look old bc your face lost its fat.You still want shape to your face when you're older, it's just different.As most of us who use make-up to create the "reconstruction" know.This is why Women Over 40 of all colors need this palette.Bc it has "Glow" which creates fullness, you can Contour And add Fullness. Boom.'Glow Girl' (love a good pun) is a deep bronze.You can use it to create cut/contour under cheekbones.You can also use it at hair line to fill out thin spots where you see skin thru hair.'Glow Out' (and be seen) is a deep bronzy gold.Works as blush or bronzer on white skin.Gives a natural sun kissed glow while rolling back time.'Glow On' (with your bad self) is Every one's kiss of light.It's sheer light. No glitter. No pasty look. It's like Moonlight in a pod.Classic highlighter for cheeks, above brows, down your throat & over clavicle.'Glow up' (why when play time is so fun?) is a True Gold.Too much for my skin but have olive/yellow toned friends I can use as a bronzer.Seems this would be a beautiful highlight on cocoa skin too.You will need a setting spray to last all night or through sweat.I got good results with NYX's Matte & Auau's Fixing spray.The difference is in the title Auau will fix a heavy hand. NYX just sets.This kit is my new Holy Grail.Will use all year long bc finally, I'm back to my old self with minimal make up.Thank you 'Mented' for taking me from mental to free.

The colors in this compact are quite nice and all of them have worked well on my fair skin. I think that the best "applicator" for the two lighter colors I can use are my fingers as I tend to grab more color that way vs. a brush. I use the brush for the darker, more bronze colored highlighters so that it can blend better into my skin.I am bummed that I can't travel with this though because two of the powders (Glow Out and Glow Girl) arrived loose and broken and almost fall out each time I open the compact. I have been SO careful every time I open it and I keep this laying flat because I don't want to drop them by accident. I'm surprised though because for the price, these shouldn't have come this way.I have actually used Glow On as an eyeshadow because I love the sheerness of it. I use it as a base before applying any other darker colors around it. Kind of nice to have a bit of versatility in a compact!

Mented Cosmetics is a brand I didn’t know before now, but I’m impressed with the quality of this Gold and Bronze Highlighter Palette. This is a slim, elegant compact with a good quality mirror. I don’t smell any fragrance. I have light skin with an olive hue that’s rather neutral. The colors have a lovely shimmery, but aren’t sparkly.I use the lightest color the most as highlighter but have also used the second lightest color. I apply my highlighter above my cheeks. But I’ve also swept a little up at the outer part of my forehead, I’ve applied a dab at my Cupid’s bow and at the inner eye and have used it below my brows. I like fan or fluffy brush for a light, sheer application.The two darker shades are well pigmented and don’t look quite as sheer on me, but what brush I use impacts the coverage. The darkness and depth of these two colors look pretty close on my skin, but one is a gold shimmer and the other bronze. While too dark as highlighter with my natural skin tone, I’ve used the darker colors as eye shadow, bronzer and even as contour under my cheek bones.This is a palette that can be used all year. While I do use the lighter colors as highlighter generally, I’ll use the darker colors to accentuate a sun-kissed look when I use self tanner in the summer. These all go on smooth and even without streaks, wear well and don’t accentuate my fine lines. This is a versatile and lovely palette. 5 stars. Made in Italy.

I'd kind of urge you to look at the colors carefully, because the shades in this Mented Cosmetics | Gold and Bronze Highlighter, Sunkissed Highlighter Palette look much more like bronzers to me than highlighters. Now: who's to say? You can wear whatever you want on your face in a makeup palette and call it whatever you want (I believe a clip of a woman wearing orange lipstick as a concealer went viral a while ago). So feel free to call this makeup whatever you or they want.I like the strong pigment in this palette. I wouldn't wear any of it as a highlighter, and as a matter of fact, mistook it for a bronzer when I saw it. The colors are vivid, and the powdered pigment is soft and buttery. There is a tiny bit of shine and glitter in some of the colors, but others are matte. I think you can use this palette as a combination highlighter/bronzer for its best effect.

The compact ID a little hard to open but I don't see this as a bad thing, means it stays shut well. It has a thin protective plastic sheet between the mirror and powder. The colors have a slight shimmer and are a nice assortment. My friend, who is better versed in makeup and a darker complexion says it is also a good set for her. She is teaching me how to use them better. They add a nice hint of color but you can layered for a darker look (I used it as eye shadow too for a natural look). I really like this set of four highlighter colors.
