This toy is similar to a real toy top found in King Tut’s tomb. Children may find it interesting that he was only a child when he became the King.Comparing it to the original, the painted parts on this top were originally made of stones. The swirl on the top of this version cannot be seen the original (but it looks cool when spinning).This simple design is easy to use and the top is very solid and sturdy. Any string could be used if you lose the one that comes with the top. I welcome toys like this which are built to last when so many of my children’s toys are thin, plastic, and broken.

My son has been really interested in King Tut lately, so I immediately thought of him when I saw this. It looks great in person. It is solid and made well. It feels very durable. It is the old fashioned string style of top. We will probably need to just use it outside so it doesn’t break anything. It will take him some time to learn how to use it, but I think he is really going to like it. I think the quality is great for the price. It would be a fun and unique gift idea. I wanted this historical toy for myself, to add to my collection of historical objects in my library. As a historian, I was very intrigued with this top. It did not disappoint. Even the package is excellent. It's silly, I know, but I'm completely charmed by this top that's a replica of the one found in Tut's tomb.
