This was a great purchase - I bought this because I have two boys and we are constantly on the run- I ruined a previouschalkboard using chalk pens that really are not good for chalkboards, but are perfect for this board. I love this board because it shows thecolors of the pens beautifully even when it isn't lit. The board has different lighting capabilities so it shows the pens in variouscolors. Its bigger than my last board too so I can get everything that we are doing written down. It has a plug, as well as the capabilityto use batteries. It came with pens and a cloth for cleaning, it even has a remote control. The board can also be hung either vertically or horizontally and comes with a chain. - Everything from soup to nuts is with this board if you want to get to using it right away. I can see why a restaurant or bar would use it. I saw other reviews that said the light wasn't all the way around and still took the chance. If that was the case before they have fixed that problem, because there are no dim spots on this board - all colors can be seen clearly and are evenly lit. I am very happy with my purchase

After getting one of these blackboards for my grand-daughter (she enjoys anything having to do with art), I came back and purchased a second for my small business. What I realized is that whatever message you write on the board, people will look and stare at the captivating images. There is one light setting that makes the letters and images appear to be moving.So, forget emails, test messages, and sticky notes. If you want people to notice your communication, get this blackboard. You can use it horizontal or vertical (product pics all show vertical position). Even in a lit room, the light settings will brighten your message. As for the grand-daughter, I had to purchase additional markers. She has a blast with this sign and makes new messages almost every day. It can also serve as a unique décor piece when decorating for holidays, birthdays, or whatever needs celebrating.

This is a wonderful board although it is quite heavy. I have 4 heavy duty magnet hooks holding it up and it still needs to sit on the blackboard ledge to be safe. I knocked off one star because it stopped working the other day and I had to connect a cord between the usb port it has and the plug it came with for it to work. It just stopped randomly making a connection. However the light brightness is even around the board, the remote works perfectly and the box of markers it came with are EXCELLENT. I reached out to their customer service when it stopped working, was asked to text pics and contact information but I didn’t receive contact to replace the cord as promised. I’m glad my cord (white cord visible in pic) worked to make a connection and power it back on. It’s one of my favorite things in my classroom. I’ll update if I hear back from the company. I read the reviews and some said it just stopped working, try a different cord-worked for me.

Great value and perfect for our home message board. I have 2 young adult kids that are both legally blind. This board is great for leaving them little notes, writing shopping list, etc. The contrast of the black board with the fluorescent markers when lit up is awesome! Pens do take awhile to get the ink flowing and it's really difficult to clean all the marker off when erasing without it leaving a smeared mess. Have tried many ways to clean the board and still no sure fire method that doesn't take too much time and still leaves board to my liking. Wish there was an easier way. Another plus though is that it mounts very securely and the plug in cord is of a decent length. It's also got great features with the remote and being able to change colors, make it blink, have it fade in and out...really catches the eye!

We are using it in a bar for daily specials and upcoming events but can be used in a lot of setting and would be fun for kids too.

One of my best friends is a live streamer and I decide to get him this for his stream ! He loves it ! It’s easy to erase and it brights up his room and his streams ! Nothing but positive from this product! I went for the LED board Bc everyone has a plain old white dry erase ! This one is unique and comes with a variety of color markers! Tad on the expensive side but completely worth it

Low quality, not well constructed,board looks dirty even after cleaning it! Not the top pick for bars!

Ordered two of these for my bar. Wanted to write a list of beers and wines on them. Got them all set up and put on the walls then plugged into... well the light doesn't reach the middle of the board! See the photo I uploaded. The LED strips are only on the long sides. So if you write in the middle it's very dark compared to the sides with the LED strips. These might be usable for some people but if you need every square inch forget it. Also, the chain that comes with it won't reach across the long side. Only the short side. So if you want a landscape mounting? Forget it. Basically... just forget this sign.Edit: Hosim sent me a new sign and this one looks 500% better than the first one. I used 4 colors and tested the middle and edges (See new pic). While the edges are still brighter, the dropoff in light in the middle is much much less than the first sign I received. I am guessing there was a design flaw in the glass they used or an angle issue with the LEDs. Thier customer service is amazing and they did everything they could to make sure I was happy. Great sign and a great company!

K so when I first took this out of the box and set it up I was SOOOO disappointed... I thought it was defective because the lights were so dim... Don't make that mistake. Set it up and write something on it.. try every colour and every setting and you'll see how lovely this thing is. It doesn't really light up the board, it lights up whatever the markers draw on it.. it's very cool. Plus there's a faint lighting effect around the border. I actually might buy a few more... I bought this for work to advertise my deals and it's surpassed my expectations. I sent it to a few coworkers who are looking in to getting one for their stores.

We have a mobile food trailer that is set up at various locations. This is the perfect way to update specials and to let folks know where we are planning to be in the coming days. The fact that it comes with a battery pack as well as the AC adapter, all the pens, remote control and even the chain to hang it if needed is amazing when you think of what it costs for most signs. It will be interesting to see how long the remote control lasts, but even having the ability to write on the surface and plug it in would be worth the investment. My daughter is a teacher and I'm going to see if she wants one of these signs for the classroom. There are lots of uses for this product and I recommend it if you would like to be able to make your displays visible and easy to customize, especially if you have an artistic streak!
