Shocks and Struts are well built and look great. Installation will require enough mechanical experience and equipment to be able to do the work. Taking your vehicle to a mechanic is advisable but the average shade tree mechanic with enough time and tools should be able to install them. REMEMBER SAFETY FIRST! Support and secure the vehicle before attempting any work.

Install was straightforward, these are stock replacements so unbolt the old ones and slam these in. Fixed my ride quality issues from having 2 blown shocks and a snapped coil. These don't ride any higher than new OEM ones I'd assume, my truck sits 1/2" higher up front now, but likely due to having good springs vs one that was snapped.

Getting out the old ones was the hardest part for me. On my truck the struts sit in a cup and we’re hard to pry out. I like the these are all one piece so you don’t have the risk of the spring exploding on you. Just remember to not adjust the middle nut when installing. Thank you Detroit for the reasonable price. Installed these on my 2011 F-150 and they ride great. The truck feels so much smoother now. these are the second set of Detroit struts and shocks I have purchased for two different trucks and I will continue to use them.
