They’ve got rave reviews and are packaged normal and look normal. The expiration is set for 5+ months away. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with these nuts, but they taste awful. Half way between rancid (ie. Stored improperly) and stale and because of that they have little flavor and taste over salted- something their sodium level shouldn’t be doing at all. I ordered two bags and the first I thought maybe was a fluke, but they’re both like this. Back to Nature makes excellent products and if these were stored properly I imagine they’d be a great value and live up to the rave reviews, unfortunately they’re not edible at this point, and I think it is how the Amazon warehouse stored them. Some fattier types of nuts are very sensitive to going rancid when not stored properly, and that’s what happened here. When kept longer term they should probably have been refrigerated in a warehouse type environment.

Thought I would enjoy these considering that I don't really care for almonds, but because it was a mixed but configuration I decided to purchase anyway. The ratio of almonds in the pkg is by far the majority of what's in the pkg. Waaaaay too many almonds and not enough cashews and pistachios.

All of the Nuts looked old, i checked the date and they expire in about 6 months but they are the nastiest nuts i have ever tasted! I should have looked at the reviews before i ordered. They had an odd old oil smell upon opening the bag, they tasted like wood and left a nasty after taste and i only tried 3 nuts. I am sad that i can not return them to Amazon because i would rather them have them back! I will never order these again! And there were more almonds than anything.

Nuts were stale and tasted like plastic. Mostly Almonds, not many Cashews and even less pistachios.Don’t waste your money!

The nuts didn’t taste super fresh even though the bag seal wasn’t broken and they didn’t each have their individual characteristic tastes. Like all the nuts tasted the same...like salt. They sure do make sure that each nut is thoroughly coated in salt. I can’t really eat much without guzzling a huge cup of water afterwards. The price is decent but I’ve had better even with Planters.
