Beautiful fine antique crackle
I got just what I wanted—a nice, fine crackle—with this product which has to be paired with the base coat in the same brand. Other crackle paints give you a very rustic look but not this one. I used it on a piece of painted furniture and it came out beautiful. Got lots of compliments on it. It was very each to use but I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS FOR 2-STEP PROCESS; COMPLETE FAILURE
Experienced with decor upccyle and other crackle mediums, but this 2-step process, simply did not work. I have used similar product, with dark wax over the top coat to highlight crackle. After applying base coat, drying thoroughly and then applying this top coat and again allowing to dry, not a single crackle was produced. I tried the process again using a hair dryer after the 2nd coat. Complete failure and will have to strip product including paint in order to do over with my usual product of choice.Tried this product because I have read good reviews of other Polyvine Products. Waste of money, but confirms I should stay with the products that costs more, but has always been reliable.

If hadn't opened it would be returned... Useless
Absolute rubbish. The company should advise what surfaces this can work on and what it can't rather than let people buy only for it not to work at all. It obviously works on some surfaces as watched YouTube videos although nobody mentions how long or how we'll it holds up...i doubt for very long. I required this for use on a plaster sculpture that was painted. The crackle effect rubs off when applying the paint effect inbetween the cracks which deems it completely useless. Any crackle that is left can simply be picked off or scratched off. It's not long lasting at all. As said, it might work on a handful of other surfaces but in no way can this be regarded long term and useable on products that might be sold to the public. It's certainly not something I'd ever recommend. If I hadn't of opened and tried it it would be returned.

Worked well
Used this to create antique/aged look to acrylic painting. Crackling worked better when top coat was applied to dry but still tacky base coat.

Extremely bad customer service
I have no idea as to how the product functions, as unfortunately my pot and contents arrived separately in a BAG. Thin then on opening spilled over me so obviously went into the outside bin. I contacted customer services and advised them of what happened. Unfortunately they cannot replace if they do not have PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE. Who stops to take photos covered in product! I advised them I couldn’t go routing round a wheelybin due to being disabled. I feel their request was unreasonable as I’d asked for a replacement not a refund so obviously wanted the product. May I suggest you package your items safely to avoid your customers loosing their money and product or is THAT too much to ask.
