This mortar and pestle set is great! It is definitely made high quality and will last for a long time as long as you care for it properly. It's heavy weight and slip resistant, which makes it easy to use without the fear of losing your grip and breaking it like my last one. It grinds extremely well and is easy to clean.

I did recive it and love it!! Summer time is when i love using fhis the most because i like making a lot of dry rubs when i bbq and using an electric grinder doesn't seem to ever come out the same for me. So i cant wait till summer time to really use this. My wife is from Indonesia (currently still there) and she uses one there alot so when here it will be used pretty much on a daily basis haha. I bought the mortar and pestle for my husband for Christmas. He loves it. It seems to be of great quality. He has already used it once and it worked great (five stars from us). The avocado slicer that came with it was broke, as many others have said. I contacted the seller on December 21, after I opened the package, and received an automated email that said I should hear a response within two business days. Since it was Christmas, I was patient. I reached out again at the end of December and still heard nothing, again I was patient because it was the holidays. Today is January 4 and I still have not heard anything. I am not that concerned about the avocado slicer (although it would have been nice since it was part of the package) but I am more concerned that the seller has not bother to respond to my messages. Therefore, I am giving this a three star rating. It's not just about the item, it's about the total experience.

This is, without a doubt, the stupidest design I've ever seen for anything, anywhere. This is not a polished mortar and pestle. It is a HALF polished mortar and pestle. It's polished on the outside for looks, but the important part is left unfinished, making this absolutely useless! The bottom of the interior of the pestle is amazingly left unpolished. Just the bottom. Even though the remaining 95% of the pestle's surface is polished, the ONE AREA where the polishing is most needed is exactly where it's missing.The whole reason for choosing polished granite is to prevent the granite being ground into the food. Polishing only on the outside of the mortar is like building a car out of steel, but making the engine out of cardboard. This is so freaking stupid, it's infuriating! Why go through the bother to polish everything EXCEPT the parts that functionally benefit from being polished? The manufacturer is intentionally going out of their way to create a product that is more looks then function, when it would have been just as easy, if not easier, to manufacture a product that does a good job.To make it worse, it's not even the size it claims to be. It's only 4 inches across the top, and about 2.5 inches from top to bottom (including base). And the included avocado slicer was broken on arrival. This is so ridiculous and absolutely pathetic.Unless you have a health condition that can only be treated by grinding granite into sand, and putting it in your food, I do not recommend this product.

We were impressed with the apparent value of the pestle set at Amazon. We ordered two for Christmas gifts for friends, and one for ourselves. They are attractive, well-made, and nicely priced. The pestle set is very heavy and should do the job for all small grinding needs. Highly recommended.

Love this set. Perfect size for a small kitchen. The quality is much better than I had expected, and it cleans out easily. Great for smashing herbs and spices, but would be a bit small to make a dip or guacamole. I have had the bowl for a few months now and use it regularly.

The first order this product was incomplete, was missing a piece and the avocado slice was broken , I return and amazon replace my item, in last than 4 days I received a new packaged, this time was a complete set and in good condition , love the product , easy to clean and very sturdy which is easy to work with it

It does come rough inside - I saw one customer complain because they didn't realize that it needs to be cured or seasoned . You should look that up online and see what you need to do to smooth it out inside and on the pestle .I think the item itself is great and I found that when I brought a concern to the vendor that they responded very quickly and remedied the situation to my satisfaction . A + rating .
