BONNIER Lewis Hamilton: The Biography

Avoid if you are an F1 fan
Avoid if you are an F1 fan or wishing to learn about it.This is a 2007 book with poorly written chapters added to bring it up to mid-2021.A reasonable summary of the early life of Lewis, followed by sketchy detail of his exceptional progress through the lower tiers before F1. The majority of the book is then details of races in 2007 which I skipped as old history. The add-on chapters for years 2008 thru 2021 are composed from downloaded articles (loads of quotation marks and acknowledgements) and meaningless social media stuff. Full of factual errors, wrong penalties, convoluted paragraphs etc. Coverage of 2016 is virtually zero. No mention of the technical side of Hybrid Engines, Tyres, Aerodynamics etc.Not recommended.

Rebranded and renamed old book
Ordered this new release book for my son which arrived today. Very disappointed to find that it is identical to Lewis Hamilton ‘The biography’ but has just been rebranded as ‘The definitive biography of the greatest racing driver of all time’ and had two extra chapters added. Advertising should be clearer to show that this is not a newly released book rather a several year old book with the smallest of updates renamed with a re-designed cover.A good book if you haven’t read a previous edition.

An entertaining and in formative book for fans of formula one.
This book was bought as a present for someone who loves formula one. He has read it from cover to over and really enjoyed it. Easy to read, informative and a book that can be read in small snippets or longer sessions. Highly recommended for formula one fans or Lewis Hamilton fans.
