Brilliant!
Absolutely brilliant game! I'd played the original Talisman once before and enjoyed it so was thrilled to find a Harry Potter version! The board is stunning and the figures are very detailed. Reading the cards out on our turns was very entertaining and we found ourselves actng out quotes from the books/films.Very enjoyable - we will be playing this again and again! 😊

Seriously Needs an Editor
Harry Potter Talisman is a big disappointment. Overlong, quite dull, terrible editing, missing or contradictory rules (not just in the rulebook, but also printed on cards and on the gameboard).IP fails (Wizards who can't have spells, sorting hats in the owlery, more than 3 hallows available). So many mistakes. Even has a card from a *different edition* listed on Harry Potter's character card. No sign of an FAQ forthcoming. Feels like a rush-job. Nostalgia couldn't save this one.

Rules are for fools
The rules in this game are contradictory at times and not clear at all in sections. Time to make up your own rules, because this game is boring in comparison to other talisman titles.

Confusing rules but overall interesting game!
We are big HP fans! And my husband enjoys painting miniatures. (Human error on his part ruined Voldemort, hence why a cardinal is standing in his place on our game board). However, the game play is confusing. The rule book, although detailed, is missing some play descriptions - particularly when battling during an Encounter. If you lose, does the enemy remain on the board or not? We could not find simple answers like that anywhere. We ended up not finishing the game and will wait until we find out more details. Maybe someone who has played the original Talisman games will know. Beautiful game board and cards, though. You do need lots of table space to play. Overall, good game for HP fans but not for beginners!

Very nice packaging and box insert for sleeved cards.
Very nice packaging and box insert for sleeved cards. Better than Talisman 5th edition by Avalon HillsThematic gameplay, it's like Talisman plus expansion Blood moon packaged in a Harry Potter world. It's like combo with discounted price.

Great worth!!
and the shipment was REALLY fast! Like a month earlier then expected originalyI played the game several tumes and it so fun.Even though the character's choice is odd, the gameplay and abilities are rather interesting. And every character card has 2 different descriptions on each side, so it can change for a game to game, depending on what character side you drew. Its also so nice to have a board game to play with 2 people, and not needing at least 3, so sometimes you can play as a pair of 2 order of phoenix or 2 death eaters to aim for greatnes, or be one of each and play against each other.Another great thing is the quality! Great plastic figurines, and the life bar, though odd compared to the life, strength and wisdom marks in the original talisman, this rotator mark is a space saver, though limited.
