The Art of the National Parks: Park-Lover's Journal (Fifty-Nine Parks)

I thought this book was beautiful with its vintage-look illustrations, and I decided I wanted it despite the fact that it only had 59 parks. Imagine my delight when I realized “59 Parks” is the publisher. All 63 parks are included!! There are also 30+ pages for other National park sites. The ribbon bookmark, elastic strap, pen holder and memento pocket put it over the edge. Perfection!!

I had a different book to record thoughts on the national parks, but this one is so much nicer for about the same price! All 63 parks are represented by artwork and then there is a page for you to record your thoughts. If you visit a park that is not a national park proper (national monument, national historic place, etc) or if you visit a NP again, there is room at the end of the book to include those as well. I loved the binding, artwork, and the feel of the book. They even thought to give you an elastic pen loop, book elastic binding strap, ribbon bookmark, table of contents (by 7 geographical breakdowns), an alphabetical index, and a pocket in the back to place miscellaneous mementos. I am very happy with this purchase!

Love this journal — high quality, paper thickness, hard bound, pen holder, holder for momentos, journal strap, ribbon bookmark, and additional 20+ pages with blank park names… etc. But what made me really decide to buy this one among others are the beautiful illustrations and layout! What a steal for $11.70 and next day delivery!

I absolutely LOVE the artwork of this journal. It is small and has only one page to write about each park which is all I wanted. I like that the questions are very general and can be answered for every park. Some of the journals have too many questions that I don’t want to answer. It also contains a map of all the national parks and a little spot to hold a pen. It is is PERFECT!

This book is really nice. It is really high quality and gives a place for a stamp, lists the highlights to mark where you went, a little note section, and a park poster at each park. Really love that is in the same theme as the amazing national park posters. There is an official national park "passport", but is unappealing and really just a place to collect a stamp. Highly reccomend! I bought one for the whole family to keep track of our special trips together.

This journal is a great way to record your visits to National Parks. It has room to write some of your fondest memories, where you stayed, who you were with and a place for the park stamp. It also has a pocket at the back of the book to put maps or other keepsakes. The only downfall is that it’s a little heavy to carry in your backpack through the parks. I just kept it in the car and started filling it out right after our day was completed. Overall, I highly recommend this journal.

Wow! If you are looking for a beautiful, "adult," journal of the National Parks - BUY THIS BOOK!! I am beyond impressed. For $17, this is a steal. Every single one of the 63 National Parks is included with a beautiful artist's rendition in color of the park and a full page (with prompts) to write notes and put a stamp for each park. Many different artists are included, and each color illustration is done in a similar style. There are also 31 additional journal pages at the back for other parks and monuments you may visit. SOOO happy that I bought this book before going on a 2-week journey to 8 National Parks. Buy this book - you won't regret it.
