UPDATE:It had been a while since I bought this scent and I couldn't remember if it was cooling at all, so I bought it again when I needed shampoo. Having gone a good while using other shampoos from 100% Pure, this is now NOT my favorite shampoo.I've tried several scents. *Yuzu and Pomelo* is now my fav (orangy/grapefruity freshness, for those like me who have no idea what the title smells like!)The reason peppermint got downgraded is because I find my hair really tangling up since I went back to it and that's when I remembered why I had tried other scents. I think it's a bit drying. (Also, in case you're wondering, it's not cooling.) I'll stick with other scents now. But I still think 100% Pure in the best shampoo/conditioner I've used!ORIGINAL REVIEW:(I also use their conditioner and this is probably partly due to using it as well)The Pros:*Lathers well!*Leaves hair feeling so clean.*No flyaways! This is amazing because my hair is fine and flyaways were always a problem!*Has a clean smell that is neither feminine or masculine.*My hair hasn't felt this thick and healthy in several years! It's beyond soft, thicker than it was while using OGX for a year +, and shiny!*The only shampoo I found that is free of all of the harmful chemicals that are in shampoos, even in children's sensitive shampoos.The Cons:The price. (Thank goodness it lathers well, which will make it last as long as possible.)

Initial I have been using this product for a few weeks now and absolutely love it! I have always had lots of fine low porosity hair that tends to be on the oily side at my roots. I struggled a bit with scalp acne and itchiness that never seemed to go away. I also had a lot of flaky skin at my hairline. I’ve tried numerous products including otc medicated shampoos and salon quality shampoos that did not provide any relief. My hair was still super oily and my scalp was broken out. I decided to give this product a go because I have been switching all of my personal care products to more natural ones. This product has been an absolute game changer. Not only is my scalp acne and dry skin gone, but my hair looks more full, healthy, and is extremely soft. The smell is minty and rejuvenating. I have also been using the conditioner on my ends in conjunction with using the shampoo only on my scalp.Update: 3 days after writing this review, and my hair decided it’s not going to like this product anymore. My scalp has been looking greasy probably from the coconut oil. I’m not sure though.

I found this brand when I read an article about formaldehyde in the shampoo I was using (Head and Shoulders Deep Moisture), and though it's price is high, I was impressed with what the ads said it could do. I have thin hair strands that are 'thinning out' as I age. I had used the H&S for about a year and a half and watched my hair line recede 3/4". The article boasted about how their shampoos could actually help hair to start growing again. Anyway, this model said it would volumize hair and make it thicker, so I bought it. It just makes my hair limp and dry, and somehow even thinner. I need something that cleans my oily scalp but doesn't give me dry, fly away hair. This isn't the answer. Disappointed.

This is the only shampoo I use. Keeps my hair looking nice and with great sheen. I get many compliments on my hair and know this shampoo is one of the reasons. I have natural curl/wave hair and it's fine. I like that it gives my hair added volume, always a plus with fine hair. It has a very nice mild scent which is a huge plus for me and my sensitivities with scents. If you're concerned about scents I would highly recommend this shampoo.

I ignored the reviews stating this product gave customers dry, itchy scalps and purchased this shampoo and conditioner anyway. The product doesn't make my scalp constantly itchy. However, I can feel that it is dry and I itch just as much as I did before—if not a little more. So switching to this product did nothing to help my scalp. For the price I was expecting a much nicer experience. Now I must find something else.
