This is the second Salter scale I have purchased in three weeks. All were supposed to have carpet feet to allow an accurate reading on carpeted floor. The first one did not have the carpet feet in the box. The third box did have the carpet feet but gave totally inaccurate readings. I am still using my Salter mechanical scales which I had hoped to replace as my eyesight has deteriorated and I find it difficult to read the scale. I've had the mechanical scales for forty years and they still weigh perfectly. I think that is a perfect metaphor for the state of our country and the obliteration of our manufacturing base.

You can just step on and see how much you weigh, or you can use the body composition analyzer. The instructions for set up are really easy, my only complaint would be the tiny writing in the instruction manual. Oh, and to flick between metric and imperial there's a button on the base of the unit, that could be better signposted. Not really important though, as soon as you've found it you're sorted.We only have two profiles to set up and it took less than 5 minutes to do so. Everything seems pretty accurate from what I know from the scales at the gym. Really cannot find anything to complain about.Sleek design, comes with batteries and a 15 year guarantee. Very happy with them, especially for the price.

If you put these scales on a hard floor and weigh yourself at the same time of the day, then they are completely accurate. If you weigh yourself on carpet or weigh yourself on different surfaces, you will get variations in your weight.

Looks great.Easy step on step off with immediate reading which is clear and easy to read.Main reason for choosing these scales however was to monitor BMI etc but gave up trying to set this up; too complicated!

Great scale, I like that you can easily change the units. Comes with carpet attachments, which I've never used personally. I mainly like that it doesn't give you several different results when weighing yourself a few times. Durable and not too heavy.
