Q: It for sure comes with a lid?

Yes it does come with a nice kid. I will add that the non-stick coating started chipping on the third use.

Two quarts with 1/4 inch of room at top of pan..

Thank you for your great question, E. J. Brumfield. The Rachael Ray Hard Enamel Skillet is constructed from sturdy aluminum that heats quickly and evenly to help reduce hot spots that can burn food. The skillet is designed to be used open and without a lid. We would not recommend using a lid other than a universal lid for this item, as a vacuum seal may occur.
