Why is this labeled BOSCH?
These hose caps seem fine and I expect that they will perform well. I am just perplexed as to why they are represented as being from Bosch, when that name is nowhere on the packaging. Instead, the name on them is Green Thumb, and it is stated that they are manufactured in China for, and distributed by, True Value. I am also puzzled at the warning on the package that this product, which is stated to be "Ultra Durable solid brass", can expose me to chemicals including lead. Finally, it has a 10 year limited warranty from True Value. But if I'm not buying it from True Value, who is providing the warranty?

Used to prevent water leak inside RV! Works great.
I bought these to put on the Washing machine water outlets inside our 5th wheel. Since we do not have a washer in the camper yet (maybe someday) I wanted to cap the water outlets in the closet to make sure just in case the on/off levers got hit that water did not leak out and damage the camper. Water leaks are the bane of all campers.Put these on and tightened them as much as I could by hand. Then just to check and be brave, I turned the water on slowly on the water outlet. NO LEAKS!. Worked like a charm. Turned the water off and left the caps on of course. Now if the levers (not turn wheels) are accidentally hit taking something out of the closet, nothing will leak! This was recommended by the service person at the dealership we bought it from. He had the same unit that had these leak when someone hit the lever taking something out of the closet and got water sprayed all over. Glad he told me!

Cheap fix for a leaky water heater.
I got these for a drippy water heater valve. I have no idea why but ours started dripping and getting the floor all wet and the situation couldn't be rectified by opening and closing the valve or closing it tighter. I guess it was just a cheap plastic valve that was bound to be a failure point eventually. When I first received these, I put one of them on and noticed a couple hours later that it was still dripping. It turned out that I just didn't really have it tightened down enough. Eventually I figured that out. I might have used teflon tape on the threads (I don't remember now). But it stopped dripping and that's what matters. Saved us some money. I assume that eventually the valve will fail somewhere else and we'll have no choice but to have a plumber fix it but this works for now.

Works for a variety of uses
Works great if you want to cap off the spigot for winter, etc. but I bought it to stop the leaking valve. It didn’t work, even though I used pipe sealing tape. But I still think these are good quality and will work to cap off hoses etc., to keep dirt out or the threads clean!

Did what I needed them to do--peace of mind
We moved our laundry from floor 1 to floor 2 of our house, leaving the old hookups "open" to the inside of our home. On had a slight drip and I didn't want anyone to accidentally rotate the handle on either (hot or cold hookup) and have the interior of the house get damaged by water. These little caps provide a little piece of mind. They haven't failed to keep the little drip from dripping through and I don't worry so much that someone might accidentally cause a flood.I'm not sure I'd trust them (inside the house) to stem the entire tide of water pressure, but if I wanted to cap a hose outside, I'd probably use them.I also liked, of course, that I could find them at Amazon, since I looked for a while at local chains/stores and could not find this brass type.

Good on boilers, too
Our house has a hot water heating system. The boiler that heats the water has a bunch of valves that look like a typical hose spigot, so water can be drained from the lines. This year our new HVAC technician pointed out that putting a brass cap on those drain valves will prevent leaks when the valve eventually wears out.Basement floods are no fun. These brass "hose caps" fit those drain valves perfectly. The threads were cleanly cut so they screwed on easily. The knurling on the outside was effective for easily gripping and twisting the caps. Now we have one less risk to worry about.

Seals well without leaking.
Seal well without leaking. Obviously reliant on the hardware you are attaching it to - seals perfectly to the proper fitting of equal manufacturing quality.
