Really nice gift
Super nice. Got this as a gift for my daughter with a few sets of nice cards. She loves it. Its sturdy and well made and also looks nice on our coffee table.

Terrible odor; does not fit a boxed deck of playing cards.
This box arrived with a terrible odor - almost like rodent excrement. The smell was immediately noticed upon unpackaging the box.I intended to place boxed playing cards in this decorative box, but the box does not fit inside. The unboxed playing cards would fit, but that was not what I needed.

Does NOT fit all standard decks!!
This is an absolutely beautiful box. I got it as part of a gift for a young cards enthusiast to store a couple decks. They were both standard size, but one barely fit on the left side and the other didn’t fit at all. I’m really hoping it’s a me problem, but I’m nervous and definitely disappointed

This beautiful little card box was permanently closed
I believe when they varnished this product, they didn't leave the lid open for drying. As a result, I couldn't get the box open, it was sealed shut forever. It's a shame as this is a very beautiful little card carrier. I had to return because it was unusable.

I am sorry to say that a standard deck of cards does not fit in these boxes. The openings are too tight. It appears that one side is smaller. If you take cards out of box one side will fit, but the other side gets stuck.

Looks liked I bought it used
Inner frame piece broken but I glued it back in. Hinges bent or on wrong so a challenge to open until I bent the hinges a bit. Brass decorations scratched.
