I was skeptical purchasing this after reading the negative reviews. I ended up jumping in head first anyways and took the risk. Without risk there is no reward. I am more satisfied with this product than any other type of blackout curtain or window covering. Many reviews state that the double sided sticky discs don't work; however mine have been up for a week and I haven't had an issue. The window I used the product on is a southern facing window that gets sunlight just about all day. My room feels like it's the middle of the night 24/7. Be sure to sleep the window with alcohol (what I used) and you shouldn't have an issue with the adhesives. Also, but the product about an inch bigger; a 12x12 window would be cut to 13x13. Then use an xacto knife for precision cutting to cut off the excess. Following these simple steps you will be able to sleep during the day. I work graveyard and was only getting about 5 hours of restless sleep due to the sun, I can now sleep a solid 8 easily. I'm not sure if it's in the product description or not but I noticed it was noticeably cooler as well. I'd assume that was the intention of the production design because the side that faces out is a shiny gray. I'd highly recommend this product for anyone that works nights and has trouble sleeping. I have found nothing better and will no longer be looking. The material is also lightweight but not paper thin it's a material I can only describe as what a tent is made of, some kind of like vinyl or something. 0 light will come through if installed correctlyEDIT: I have no issues after a month. My room remains the coolest darkest room in the house. We just had a heatwave and I didn't even notice in my room. Also came in handy while I slept a weird schedule due to covid. I still highly recommend.EDIT 2: Its been several months and I've had zero issues still. It's held strong, not deteriorated, and in the same place I originally placed it with no need to fix it. Still highly recommend and am afraid if I take it off I will regret it and have to buy new adhesives that probably aren't going to be as good haha. 10/10 product. I will not be updating this again as any further and you've already gotten the money's worth back in sleep (if you work nights), energy savings (if southern facing window in hot climate), and all products deteriorate with sun exposure amd heat (not that this one has yet). I MAY leave a review when its finally deteriorated as I'm not taking down and will be test the longevity of the product.

My wife and I are retired, so we sleep until around 9AM... because we can :-) The sun rises at 7AM and shines directly in our bedroom window. We could not use blackout curtains because they would have to be left open for the window A/C unit to operate properly. Before purchasing, I was a bit skeptical and thought this material may be a bit expensive for what it claims to do. However, I found this material to be WELL worth its purchase price, and I still have plenty enough material to easily cover yet another window in my bedroom, and will be doing so soon. I used the provided measuring "tape" and cut this material to fit my bedroom window. I then used the self-stick, reusable, double-sided stickers to mount the material to the window frame. Although the stickers worked OK, there were still a few openings between the stickers where some light was entering. So, I added 1.5" wide black masking tape (Duck tape brand) to seal the entire perimeter of the blackout material to the window frame. This worked PERFECTLY, and I ended up removing the double-sided stickers to have the material lay flat throughout its entire edge. Do NOT use gaffers tape, that will pull off paint, etc... masking tape is the safe way to get it done properly. I've provided a photo of the finished window... 100% blackout results!! I HIGHLY recommend your purchasing this item if you have similar room blackout requirements :-)

Material is very light, I'll git it that. very thin sheet of plastic. silver on one side, black on the other. and it seams to block light.However, the stickers that it came with are not removable from the glass. I had to scratch them off with tools and lots of work. to the sheet itself, they do not stick well, and some came off after a few hours.Material seams to be putting off some smell or gas, which for a bedroom, does not work well..Additionally, I was offered 20 dollars to write 5 star review. This would make it really good deal, bringing the price to almost zero. but unfortunately I can not do that. and I returned the product.

I work Night Shift so this is 100% a necessity. At first I was nervous bc the material is thin buuuut it still perfectly deflects the sun.There’s a LOT of material so I’m sure it can be fit to almost all window sizes. Best of all, it’s non intrusive because they have very cool stickies you can just put on the glass, it’s renter safe and it sticks!!!! It even came w a measuring tape it was so perfect and convenient :’) easy to install it took less than an hour.I love it. I can sleep like it’s 10pm even tho it’s 10am. It keeps my life together and it keeps me sane despite the insane schedule!! Will probably buy again (very soon) for mom. Plus the price point is why I got it… the best around.Attached is a photo of my botched handiwork with light gaps lol (it still works tho, blotches out light that good!!) I still have more left over if I need it!! If you need a quick and genius fix for too much light in your room… I would 100% approve of you getting this. You’re making great choices. Wish I can give 15/5 stars lol

I live in Las Vegas and it gets really hot in the summer so my power bill is crazy high. I also have tons of windows so that doesn't help. Purchased this to block the sun from this arch window because it makes my living room very hot. It was a struggle to get the correct measurements. It's not perfect but will do for now and will fix later. I also had enough for the window below and plenty left over. To my surprise after struggling and wishing I had a measuring tape and better marker I found both in the bag it came in 🤦🏻‍♀️. Would have been very helpful lol. But I plan to buy more for my other windows so now I know lol
