This is going to be lengthy, so for those who don't want to read it all, this thing was awful. The pir detection is a joke, recording time is crazy short and usually misses the important stuff.I had a camera that I needed to replace after giving it to a relative in an emergency situation. Unfortunately that camera is no longer available. I found this one instead and while it only had a few reviews, they were all 5 stars, so thought I'd give it a try.Biggest headache I've had in a very long time.First, I contacted the seller to find out the recording length when the camera detects motion. I was told it was 50 seconds and could not be changed.Wrong.The camera allows you to choose from 3 different recording times, 10,20 or 30 seconds.... but it doesn't matter. The camera randomly chooses anywhere between 2 and 11 seconds, no matter what setting YOU choose. For the two second recordings, you likely won't see anything in night vision as it takes the camera longer than that to realize it's in night mode and switch to the ir lighting, therefore, the first several seconds are usually just a black screen.Strangely enough, during nighttime hours, the ir lights are constantly activating and this appears intentional as there is a very specific pattern. Now, this is without any motion being detected at all. While sitting idle in darkness, the ir lights come on for 5 seconds, off for 2 seconds, back on for 5.... All. Night. Long. And the clicking sound the camera makes during this on/off game will drive you nuts if you are close by.The pir motion detection is almost non-existent. It claims 140 degree detection. In truth, you need the moving object to be directly in front of the camera and preferably not more than 2-3 feet away. It takes a couple of seconds after detecting motion for it to start recording which means that the person/animal is already gone passed.And that is slow moving creatures. A burglar would never get caught by this thing if they were moving quickly.So, the person is within 2 feet of the camera before being detected, it takes a couple of seconds before recording starts, at which time the person is already passed the cameras view. If it's at night, the first couple of seconds of the recording will be blacked out as the camera has to have time to decide whether to turn on the ir lights or not.You will see NOTHING. Even in daylight when the ir lights aren't necessary, the camera is extremely slow at turning Recording on, if at all. You may get lucky and catch a small, blurry glimpse of what triggered it, but don't count on it. My daughter and I actually played a game trying to see how slowly we had to move around right in front of the camera to trigger it. After over 40 passes in front of it, it only triggered 6 times and every one of those were 2-3 feet in front of it. Any farther out and it never knew we were there. Even at the 2-3 feet range, if we moved somewhat quickly, it missed us completely.The app is no better than the camera. I usually don't mind too much if I get a defective item that I need to return.... It happens sometimes.But this thing? I wish I'd never seen it. I've spent 3 days trying to adjust settings and tweak placement, etc. The headache it's caused me is unbelievable.This is nothing more than a toy store camera you might pay a couple of bucks for your kids to play with. Yes, seriously.I have a very large property in which I have installed over 20 cameras of various types and brands. I've never seen anything like this. I do not use cameras with sound except those at my doors, which is one of the reasons I chose this one. Didn't even try the 2 way voice communication as I've had enough. I know how to install cameras and use them, I assure you this is not a case of operator error. It's a horrible camera.There are a few pros to mention:It comes in black for those who need to place it in an area where white sticks out like a sore thumb.The shape is also a feature I liked, as it is a more vertical camera and doesn't stick out like the bullet cameras do. It also has a magnetic mount for areas where you don't need to worry about it being stolen. This allows you greater adjustment of angle and makes it easier to remove for charging.However, these few "pros" mean nothing in regards to a SECURITY camera that doesn't do what it's supposed to do.- signed, AngryInNC.

I have mounted this camera on the rear of my house as we back onto a parking lot thru the trees. I love that it provides me with images if anyone is near the house. Instructions that accompanied the camera were precise and easy to understand. You can save battery life when it is in sleep mode. We have a LOT of birds and bugs so I like the built in motion sensitivity feature to avoid false alarms! I highly recommend this product!

Excellent camera with great quality video. I love that it is wire free, because that way I can install it wherever I want and not worry about moving it later. Do not hesitate to buy!
