Castle Creations 1/10 Copperhead, 16.8V, Sensored, Waterproof, ESC, Internal BEC, CSE10016600, Black

I have a 2wd slash that I knew could pop wheelies and hit high speeds but my old Esc *cough DHK cough* didn't have smooth power delivery and would just roast the tires, cog, and overheat within 5 minutes on 3s. I soldered the connections to the copperhead plugged it in and instantly started doing wheelies, back to back top speed runs without even getting warm, buttery smooth at slow speeds and rolling burnouts that actually leave tire marks.6day update: it melted on 4s I made one good pass brought it back in let the motor cool off a bit and then drove 10 feet at 1/4 throttle and it just died on me no steering no throttle no fans. Just died. Took the cap off to look at the board and all three capacitors look like they exploded and melted off the board. Going to contact castle and see what they can do for me and maybe if they can explain why it happened or what I could’ve done differently

I have a few of these that I use in different RC's. I use one in my 4tec 2.0 and I use a few in my crawlers. Great ESC's that can be used in a variety of different RC's. Great quality and great customer support.

If you go brushless, you need a censored esc. I found this out the hard way by spending a bunch of money and time trying to fix cogging that was ultimately cleared up 100% when i installed this esc. This thing is great. And with the b-link its SO easy to tune anywhere from a smartphone.

You can never go wrong with a copper head for the money it’s a great product

Not bad build quality, not great. Fan is not waterproofed. ESC is realistically just splash resistant. Puny switch which may or may not hold up but it works fine. Sound of the PWM is sort of a low harmonic hum I wish wasn't as loud but it's not a big deal. Otherwise it seems a solid ESC that works well. Seems to manage heat nicely, hasn't had issues giving me the power I need, and has an awesome set of programming options as well as data logging. Running it on a basher truck over 7lbs with a 2400Kv sensored motor. It was just going to be a temporary ESC til I got a 140A Max10 but I'll probably end up just sticking with the Copperhead 10.

Well apparently you aren't allowed to say anything negative about this speed control. I have had to rewrite this review three times now. So let's give this a try.This is the best speed control money can buy.It is a God among ESC's.You could put this in a Tesla plaid and it would be an upgrade to the tesla.Apparently castle has found a way to harness 0 point energy in their new line of ESC's.I put this in my SCX6 and it was so fast and powerful, it warped spacetime and literally caused my poor trail honcho to jump into an alternate reality.I am definatly going to spend my entire next paycheck on as many of these as I can afford to buy.U I want to have 1 in every one of my 42 RC's.CANT GO WRONG WITH THIS PURCHASE GUYS!!!!:)

Good build quality and durability for the most part. Fan started to get kind of noisy early though, and the power switch broke within a month of normal use. Other than that, great programmabilty, and really smooth throttle control on sensorless motors.
