The packaging arrived undamaged but the gate part was damaged in the packaging. The material for the locking pin part is quite flimsy (see photos). I also bought the extra stands to bring more stability.I have a frail old golden retriever so she does not attempt to push the barrier to go up stairs. The purpose of the gate is to keep her from going up and possibly slipping down and hurt herself.I have contacted the manufacturer to get replacement section for the gate but since this happened between Christmas and New Year, I have not had a response yet. Will keep you posted.Overall, I am satisfied because it does what I needed so I just need the gate section of the partition replaced.I will post updates on the resolution.

We love this gate but it’s not very heavy. For example, if a dog were to jump and put their paws on the top of it, the gate would topple over. Besides that, it’s really convenient and works 99% of the time!

Very flimsy...particle board...fell over and split one of the slats...tried to glue it back together and broke again. I move it multiple times a day and it just is too fragile for that. Lock broke first week of having it.

Sturdy and looks classy. Easy to .put away . I bought 2 for my 2 cats. I blocks the balcony door and the other I use to create a vestibule when entering my apartment. My cats stay away from them. Highly recommend

I ordered this as a solution for my aunt who has a dog that likes to escape. I ordered one that had been used-like new condition, bc I figured a few cosmetic blemishes would be ok. When it arrived we realized quickly that the “inspection” was flawed. Multiple joints were broke, the latch spring was broke and there was only 1 of the 2 feet it was suppose to come with.I can’t afford the time to send it back for a replacement, so I got to spend more money buying wood glue (thankfully I had clamps) to fix it so she could use it.
