A great classic

My copy was excellent for this book. Even after multiple rereads I am yet to see even slight damage. Go for it if you wish to read.Now as for the book...I don't think any amount of words would be enough to describe Austen's brilliance. For people new to classics, I do think that Emma could be a difficult book to start with cause of the slow pace of the story (but it's all worth it in the end cause the pace develops characters and scenes for the plot twists in the end). I personally loved the entire Jane Fairfax story and words aren't enough to describe my love for Emma and Mr. Knightley. "If I loved you less I might be able to talk about it more" one of the most beautiful lines to be ever written.

I ordered the clothbound editions of jane austen’s Emma, Persuasion, and sense & sensibility. I also ordered the chronicle books edition of Pride and Prejudice (that included the letters from the novel). They all arrived in great quality and the shipping was fast.

While on occasion I fil one is sick of the very name of Jane Austen I just had to have this edition of Emma, small, cloth bound, hardback, gilt edges, sewn and illustrated.For the 13 USD printed on the dust jacket as suggested price is absolutely worth it.The front cover is embossed with a design of acorns and two Tudor roses (like the rest of the McMillan Collector's Library)The pages crack a little on the first handlings due to the gilding but it should go away after a few flipsShown on top of an Everymans Library book for reference (a regular size book)

Très belle édition, comme les autres livres dans la même série (Canterbury Word Cloud Classics), où on peut trouver d'autres auteurs classiques.
