Gran Mitla Sal de Chapulin (Cricket Salt) 100 Gram Jar

This product is the epitome of why you should always try something even if it sounds nasty. I first was introduced to it in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. In a liquor store the clerk had several bottles of tequila on a wine barrel for tasting and had me lick my wrist and shook some of the "cricket salt" on it. Lick the salt, take the shot of tequila into your mouth, swish it once or twice around your mouth, exhale while swallowing. Magnifico! I didn't buy any of the tequilas (I already had 15 bottles back at the hotel) but I bought a bottle of the Gran Mitla. If you like avacados, or guacamole, or hard-boiled eggs, or sandwiches, then you need to get this to sprinkle it on. I bring this stuff when I go out to Mexican restaurants and sprinkle it on any avacado product--it makes guacamole come alive! The only bad thing about it is now I can't have avacados without it, so I just bought another bottle as a back up.
