U Konserve Stainless Steel Insulated Food Jar 12oz - Leak-Proof Ocean Blue Lid - BPA Free - Thermal and Double-Walled to Keep Food Hot and Cold

We bought this to go in our Kids Konserve lunch bag kit and it's very nice and solid, but not too too heavy. The lid is secure and it keeps things gently warm. Have not tried to use it to keep things cool, but I'm sure we'll get to that in the summer. It's a great little thermos and we're perfectly happy with it. I should add that my daughter prefers room temp food to really hot food, so if you were looking for a thermos that keeps things hot, as opposed to warm, this might not be your thermos. Other reviewers have said it works great with hot liquids, but we haven't tried that yet. We use it with pasta that I take straight out of the pot and put into the thermos.

My 5 year old will be going to kindergarten next year and I wanted to experiment with food containers to keep food hot or cold throughout the day. This little thermos does a good job of keeping food hot or cold for a few hours. It's important to pre-heat the container or pre-cool the container for maximum results. What I love it for most is keeping her almond milk cold when we go somewhere - she doesn't drink cow's milk, and the almond milk drink boxes are pricey, so I love that I can put a serving of milk in here and take it to a restaurant or in the car, and it stays cold. I will continue to use it for that primarily and not her lunch box, because her little hands can't get the lid open on their own. Maybe when she's bigger.Cleaning tip: You will want to take out the rubber ring to clean. Like any container that holds moisture, it will mold. I take a small bottle brush and run it around the inside of the lid, clean the rubber ring, and leave out to dry.

I love these containers I bought one to use my lunch bag and loved it so much I bought two more. They do not keep your food really hot like a regular thermos which is not a problem for me but they keep it nice and it they don't leak. I've had so many thermoses and they all leak that these are really great they don't like it I'll drop them and they don't break they seem to hold up really well.

I was a little disapointed with the durability of keeping the soup warm!!He was just perfect to eat but if i had to wait 1 more hour wouldn't be that warmer any more.There is always the good aspect which is if you going to eat your "soup"in 3/4hours i will say it's fine but the one i own from thermos was keeping the food the same way i had put inside which makes me wait and blowing the soup too cool down before giving it to my son!!Use your own judgment but i wonder if is not liquid the food wouldn't stay that long warm i haven't tried that yet.I will try it and let you know.Rather than that it's nice looking thermos with an happy color which matches our litle cointainers i love when is time too pack the food with the happy color and nice looking containers and i am sure my son is motivated to eat from them too.

good size, keeps food really warm. The best thing is the wide mouth that makes it easy to eat out of and to clean up. If you package steaming hot food in it, it can be a little tough to get the lid opened.

I really wanted to like this thermos. I read the reviews and it seemed fairly positive. My daughter had to have this one because she loved the color.The problem with this thermos is that it does not keep food hot. I volunteer at my daughter's school for lunch almost every day. Every morning at 7:30am I put boiling water in it. My daughter has an early lunch, 11am. And by 11am the food is either cold or barely warm. Today I made Mac & Cheese on the stove. I poured the boiling water out of her thermos and put in mac & cheese noodles that were extremely hot from the stove into the thermos. A little over 3 hours later, I was at her school for lunch. When I opened up her thermos, the noodles were cold. I was very surprised.Needless to say, I will be looking for a new thermos.I recommend that you do not buy this product, unless you do not care if your food stays warm.Update 4/18/12After writing this review, a person commented on it saying I should put boiling water in it before putting food in it. I quickly responded to the comment letting them know I did put boiling water in it, and if they had read my review they would have noticed that. They followed up with the comment by stating that they worked for the company. Interesting that they never stated that in their first comment. Anyway, they said I should contact customer support and they would take care of me. I contacted customer support on 3/12 and they apologized and said they would send me a new thermos. I have waited over 6 weeks and no new thermos has arrived. So, I changed my review to one star. Being led on, deceived and manipulated by this company feels worse than the terrible product they sold me.

This thermos is AWESOME! I put boiling water in here, (with the cap on) let it sit for a few minutes while I warm up soup, empty the water out, put the soup in and it stays warm for my daughter's lunch! The first time it was too hot for her to eat, and in fact it was still warm when I emptied it out at the end of the day, way more then 8 hours later. Great thermos, highly recommend it.update:We did encounter it being stuck shut for the first time tonight. Both my husband and I tried to get the lid off, ran hot water over it and everything. I thought we would have to toss it, but then I did the jar trick. Turned that baby upside down, smacked the top flat on the counter and it opened! Hurray!

This is a nice size flask for small appetites. It keeps the food relatively warm, but certainly not piping hot despite warming the vessel before hand. Just one word of caution - be careful not to cross thread the lid when sealing in hot food. It will be extremely difficult to open and certainly beyond little hands. Nothing difficult about clean up either.

Pour l'utiliser moi même, cet article ne maintient pas au chaud assez longtemps. Pour l'instant j'ai tout mangé froid ou à peine tiède sauf la purée qui se garde souvent chaude sur une longue période. A part le coté non toxique, je suis déçue.
