NEAR INFRA-RED, the safe light
auto shut-off prevents over heat. Li battery is rechargeable. gets very warm, does not burn. great results (more collagen?).if you are treating a larger area, like the trapezius, lower back (lumbar), an entire knee, then this is small.

Worked well on leg wound
My husband has a long time open wound on his leg. This provided relief from some of the pain and I believe it brought out the lurking yucky that was below which then allowed it to heal better. Helped his pain when nothing else worked.

Just decent
This red light therapy device is just decent. It is compact, lightweight and highly portable. It does feature 3 distinct red and infrared LED chips as advertised and a push-pull ring on the lamp head for focusing. However, it doesn't seem to work that well for my knee pain. It just helps marginally. The device is sturdy and appears to be well made. It has a gooseneck for adjusting the orientation of the light head and a magnetic base that can attach itself well to a metal object. It operates on a 18650 Li-ion rechargeable battery and has only an on/off toggle button. The lights aren't very powerful. My skin gets barely warm from the radiant heat. However, the lamp head just does a little warm over time. I tried it on my knee and it didn't seem to take much of the pain away, maybe just marginally. However, it does feel good on a smaller treatment site as such the wrist. Perhaps it is because the lamp head is small and so is the focused light area. For what it's worth, red light therapy is also good for skin care. Perhaps, this device is best suited to that. The device comes with two 18650 rechargeable batteries and a cheap USB powered charger. The device uses one battery, so you can charge one while using the other. It also comes with a nice pair of eye protection goggles. A white metal disc is also included which you can adhere to a surface with a double-sided tape (not provided), so that you can attach the device to it magnetically.Overall, this is more of a mixed bag for me. I wanted it to work on my knee but it doesn't seem to be powerful enough to handle such a large treatment area. On the plus side, it is rechargeable, compact, lightweight and highly portable. All things considered, it is just decent.

Its made well enough for the price.
Red therapy lights are pretty expensive in general, I'm not sure if the LEDs used are more expensive to make but they always cost more than regular lights. Red therapy lights are theorized to improve blood circulation and promote collagen using the wavelength these red LEDs produce. These lights are used to reduce scars, pain relief in muscles and acne. This kit is currently priced at 39.99 which seems ok based on the general cost of red therapy lights and what you get in the kit. The light and accessories seem generic because I've seen similar looking lights and have other devices with the exact same accessories, the light and accessories work fine so i guess its fine. The kit includes two rechargeable batteries and a charger. It also has safety glasses which should be used because red therapy lights are bad for the eyes. The light also has a magnetic base for easier use.Overall for the price the light is made well enough and seems to work fine.

Truly Portable Red Light Therapy Lamp
This portable red light therapy lamp is very thoughtfully designed. First of all, it's battery operated so it can truly be operated anywhere with no cord hassle. It uses one rechargeable 18650 battery and 2 are included, along with a charger for them, so you never run out of power. There are 3 LEDs - 630, 660, and 850 nanometers. The 630 and 660 ones are red lights for closer to the surface skin treatment and the 850 one is for deeper muscle treatment. The 850 near infrared one is invisible to our eyes. There is a 5 minute auto-shutoff. The base is magnetic and a wider metal base is included so the lamp is stable no matter how you adjust the gooseneck. Eye protection is included as well.I use red lights to relieve the pain of occasional tendonitis in my thumb and this one is easy to use. It is very well thought out, works well, and I recommend it if you're in the market for a red light therapy device.
